Peaks above Soriska Planina are like a created mountaineering paradise for carefree wandering among a multitude of hillocks, named or unnamed, each offering its own unique view of the surroundings.
Since I like to combine May 1st with dandelion picking, you can find that there too at this time.
We started towards Dravh, where we could observe the awakening of spring, which has climbed up here too. Everywhere silence, the real mountain kind, when you hear the cuckoo flying by, which perches on the upper treetops, though it's usually an extremely shy bird. We two also walked mostly in silence so as not to spoil this alpine idyll, because only then can you see much more.
It was quite hard to leave Dravh, it offered so many beautiful views, but still onwards to Lajnar, Slatnik and Možic, a beautiful circular path. Below Slatnik I saw at least three real big bucks, I thought of deer, chamois I know they weren't, because they were much larger. But they didn't wait for me, didn't want my company, not even ready to pose for photos.
The beauties at this time are truly immeasurable, everything colorful, from pink (rhododendron in its true color), through green in all shades, white shining in between, and yellow grasses that will change more, a real touch of spring. I wonder at myself why I come here to admire so rarely, well but now is the right time anyway.
