Today on Peca already winter conditions. The climbing path will have to wait a while. There's a good twenty cm of snow. As I was ascending towards the top there was a great view, at the top fog rolled in and it started snowing.

I know two who waited for the turn of the year on Peca. Peca is nicely passable, snow is firm, track done.

So, today Peca let herself be conquered, start from Podpece. Path well trodden (normal, not very demanding!), track all the way to the top, downhill a bit slippery so I recommend crampons. It was quite cold though, mainly due to the strong wind. Views phenomenal.

If you get to the parking with a car (if passable, or with off-roader?) then to the top another 2-3 hours. Say 30-45 min from parking to the hut.

The hut itself is always closed, they don't feel like working even though there are lots of visitors on weekends.

This waterfall is located when driving from Črna towards the Topla valley and turning into Podpeča about 1.5 km from the junction. It's called Helenski slap and is about 15 m high.
