Since @GITA described and pictured her visit to Peričnik so nicely, I also wanted to go see it. While there's still something frozen. So we went up yesterday. Insanely beautiful----colors, cracking and "thunder", as @GITA put it. I'd agree with your friend @zvončnica too, such curtains would come in very handy . Otherwise I was jumping around there without crampons , which I regretted later. Um, the curtains are already breaking quite a bit, so really not safe. Quite a few visitors, even though the weather was gloomy. Worth going up, even if it was slightly drizzling. Too bad we didn't go to the upper waterfall, next year.

How about the road to Vrata? How far is it drivable without chains?

Hi Bojan the road is closed, as indicated by the sign at the parking lot. Otherwise it's dry to Aljažev dom.... So you decide for a conscious violation or walk. Yesterday we met some cars and no pedestrians! Strange, right?

Up to Peričnik it's dry, further I don't know. Officially it seems closed to me, because at the start of the path (in the middle of the road) there stands a traffic sign prohibiting driving.

From Mojstrana to the waterfall and hut at Peričnik there is currently a nicely groomed path along the road, cleared of snow and fallen trees.

Visit to Peričnik waterfall on 23.2. The waterfall has already melted. From Mojstrana to the waterfall the road is groomed as a footpath (plowed), further to Aljažev dom walk on untouched snow. To Tilešev rov it was still OK, then further it sank too much (recommend snowshoes).

All the way to the upper one, take an umbrella and continue on the ledges, I thought of going to Sleme but stayed around Peričnik.

It's looking really nice. Congrats on the nice photos. I haven't been there in snow and ice, but plan to go soon and wonder if you needed crampons? Thanks.

For a normal view you don't need them, but if you want behind the waterfall, you can't without. Be careful of falling icicles, so I advise against approaching behind the waterfall in slightly warmer weather.

Warm weather has already done its thing. I didn't dare get too close, as it kept cracking all the time.

2.1. On a wonderful day, we also viewed Peričnik waterfall, the sight of frozen walls and waterfall is priceless, but sadly it rumbled so much that this icy shell will soon disappear, at times the rumbling was really eerie, but from a safe distance it's wonderful to watch, both lower and upper waterfall

If it will really be freezing all week as forecasted and next week too it will really be time to climb again...
