When I was at Pogačnikov dom a week ago, the path to Pihavec was closed due to active landslide.
I pose the question: is the path safe or only for adventurers?

I don't know what's the point of choosing exactly one of the twenty that PZS has closed due to objective danger, out of 10000 km of marked paths (and who knows how many unmarked) that we have here...

We returned via the marked path, there was no notice at the top that the path is closed, we watched what was happening under the wall, we knew there was danger and safely descended to Pogačnikov dom. At the junction for Pihavec there was a sign warning of an active landslide, but no sign about the path being closed.
No point in choosing the closed path, but it's logical to descend from somewhere on the mountain and the marked one is the easiest mežikanje and you make a nice loop jezik

It's also logical that there's no notice at the top, because the closed path is the only marked one.
And it would be logical for an experienced mountaineer like you to check the path conditions before the tour, especially if you know about the danger on it.
PZS informs about the closure of this path in addition to the landslide, and it's also pointed out on the same forum about current conditions, where you posted about the hiked path. And it would also be logical to - if nothing else - warn at least about the landslide in that post. Enjoyment can come later.

You can enjoy every path. Just good mood (sometimes suitable company), a bit of knowledge and experience is needed. I don't know why some of you are so bothered if someone steps on a "closed" path.
Those who lead groups up there probably won't look for path info here. Others visit the mountains at their own risk anyway and many don't need paths ("open or closed") at all.

Drago, we all visit mountains at our own risk, on marked paths, trails, off-trail and walls.
The Alpine Association doesn't "close" paths without reason and I don't know why we shouldn't follow their instructions. There are almost countless other options, but for some the challenge is obviously walking on closed paths.
Bad example, especially if in a post on the "Current conditions" page about conditions exactly on that critical section of the path you don't write a single word. And there are many such cases of ignoring closed paths and posting about it on such forums and social networks and - with some exceptions - they are all the smartest when explaining reasons for such behavior. Once again - there are 10000 km of marked paths in Slovenia.

If you join an organized group or hire a guide, surely someone else is responsible for you.zmeden If in such a case you had to sign that you go at your own risk, then thanks but no thanks for such an offer.
As for "closed" paths, those who made and maintain these paths are obliged to inform about their condition. Why should someone else who went on that path and "enjoyed" there burden themselves with that. It has been written countless times that the information here is not authoritative due to subjectivity. Many of these would walk there even if there was no path made.
And let's leave those who are still willing to post something (and that with enthusiasm about the experienced day) in peace.

OK, regarding responsibility I didn't consider organized groups. But most people who inquire about path conditions on these pages are those going to the mountains on their own, or am I wrong?

And - read about conditions on alpine paths on PZS pages, the posts here are only for enthusiastic hikers? zmeden Their posts aren't authoritative anyway... In the end mine isn't either...

Mukica has so much mountain mileage and hiked mountain paths that she surely wouldn't lead her two friends into any danger. In pictures 10 and 13 you can see so much joy that I can only say - keep enjoying!

Sometimes it's really better not to post, some get annoyed by every post... they look for flaws and trifles, as if they were perfect themselvescool

Bad days are coming, I wish you many beautiful paths and safe returnsnasmeh

Instead of reflecting that maybe I don't speak nonsense and that maybe not everything was okay with using the mentioned path and accepting criticism as a natural part of conversation - you rather labeled me as a petty nuisance who gets bothered by every post. Nice. Enjoy these days and paths as well.

Djimuzl too is capable, given his EGO, of taking a step back. I do admit though that his warning was spot on, well-intentioned and correct.

From Vrata via Luknja to Pihavec. Didn't find the memorial plaque, so I bushwhacked my own way up one gully and grass to the top. Return via south side through grass back to Luknja and start. Left my ice axe at ca 2000m and it stayed there...If anyone finds it, keep it as a memento velik nasmeh or leave it therenasmeh. More in the pics.

Sunrise on Pihavec, above Luknja (dry), in the gully two short II-degree jumps down towards Pogačnik hut and Sovatna. Snowfield below secured path, crampons/ice axe.

Path Pogačnik hut-Pihavec closed for years, the landslide itself not above the path. Winter gear mandatory, crampons/ice axe.
Another pic:
The landslide is top right, the path goes bottom left1
