Hello, how is it with drinking water on the SPP trail at this time, is it drinkable in the huts?

On Pohorje the huts are densely placed and you can get water and more there. If you don't believe it, look at the map.

My question wasn't about how many huts there are on Pohorje, but whether the water in them is drinkable.. We often come across signs that the water is not drinkable.

In the wider area of Pohorje, the water is of good quality both in huts and at springs, i.e. drinkable. Good luck!

Usually it's written so that you buy water instead of getting it for free from the tap. Just turbo-capitalism.

Most huts have rainwater and despite cleaning filters it's not drunk, it's mainly used for cooking and washing, that's sometimes a problem too, because, like now with drought, it runs out quickly.

Lunca, today I saw your question. With water it's like this, the higher you are the less water there is. Simple. Lp.

In the entire area of Slovenian mountains this year there is noticeably less water, consequence of prolonged drought and mild winter. According to older people, there was a similar situation 50 years ago.

Today went with better half on a slightly longer walk along the path Sp. Hoče - Hočka koča - Belvi - Razvanje. It was a nice warm day, snow only on the track. HAPPY 2023!

In the late afternoon from Reka past Hočka hut to Belvi. Conditions pleasant for walking, no snow, even the "made" one on the ski slope was taken by the thaw.

Today with younger son to the snow, because in the valley he might not see it. At Areh "madhouse" around parking. We towards Žigartov vrh, some sledding, shoveling, throwing snow, ice candles, ... and the youngest enjoyed the winter idyll in the sun.

Two-day rambling in Styria, along the foothills of Pohorje, lower it's spring-like with snowdrops, higher winter idyll. Since this time accompanied by almost 15-year-old bitch who prefers riding over walking....we did a shorter tour from Pivola settlement to St. Lenart. And a walk in Maribor, it's nice. Next day also around Zg. Polskava, Bukovec, with nice views of Drava plain, and from Donačka gora to Boč. Lots of opportunities for rambling in really idyllic landscape.

Pic. 1 "well marked trails" Yes, in Pohorje they are known for unusual time markings. According to this picture it takes almost two hours from Mariborska to Ruška hut?!?

@bbugari, maybe this timetable includes some extended path variant or getting lost. To tell the truth though, our paths are marked below average among alpine countries.

Pohorje and times? Better look at the Julians and their timetables. For almost all the highest, e.g. Jalovec, Triglav, Škrlatica,..., exaggerated times by cca 2 hours.
