Also fine, the important thing is to get some movement.

Today all three: Grmada - Tošč - St. Lovrenc. Started in Božna near P.G., first to Grmada via unmarked trail to Gont, from there towards Grmada, descent and ascent to Tošč, descend to Polhov Gradec and from there ascent to St. Lovrenc in less than 25 minutes to the top, paths without peculiarities.

Already the second year I can't make it to the snowy Polhograjci. Is that the end because of global warming? frowning look

This afternoon we went to "air out" a bit - literally!!! wink to the nearby Polhograjci. At the end of Polhov Gradec (in the direction of Črni vrh) we turn right and park near the junction Tošč – Polhograjska Grmada. We take the right one towards Grmada over Setnica. From the summit we descend towards the Gonte farm, then to Tošč, return to Gonte and descent through Mačkov graben back to the starting point. The cold cut to the bone, it was also quite windy, that the Tošč summit is overgrown with forest and therefore usually less scenic was welcome today smile, since there was almost no wind on the summit and we even sat for a short time. We also had some sunshine and in the lee spots it was quite pleasant at times smile. These areas were more deserted today, a few hikers who were not afraid of the cold and wind, we still met… We had a great time, we'll return when a meter of snow falls… smile

For warming up for this season I did a circular route through the Polhograjska Dolomites today.

I left the bike in the forest near Legastija, then to Rovtar and via Via Dida to Tošč. The path is a bit steep in the lower part, that's all. Otherwise not technically demanding. Maybe annoying when wet.

From Tošč I descended back to the saddle and to Gonte. There I ate a salad, then to Grmada. From Grmada then to Topol, en route also Goljek.

From Topol to Jakoba, en route see church Sv. Katarina. Church at Jakoba closed. There study how to get to Legastija quickest before dark to find bike. At junction below Jakoba go towards Kozemer and reach village Tehovec, there see sign to Legastija, 35 min more. Then to bike and home.

Few are those who at Jesus' resurrection become aware of their deeper spiritual essences, meaning of life, helping others, solidarity, friendship, heartiness... all that he once presented to people in his earthly life, model of God's holy son. The entire creation operates on such principles, ultimately our consciousness chakras rotate only with such laws and our health, future, even political system depends on them, which has come to the side of the path and into recession precisely because of these reverse principles.
So today I dedicated time to myself in the quiet, pristine white landscape of Polhograjci.
The wonderful and rarely snow-covered Easter Sunday path let the pictures describe.nasmeh

In the morning I drive to Belica, park on the other side of the road there and head into the foggy morning towards Grmada past Gont and to Tošč. After a good five minutes already I get lost and instead of left over the little bridge (plank) I go straight along the cart track. It was still dark and with the light the markings are poorly visible, but I soon found it or rather first found the plank over the stream. No views today though...

Today with the tour to Polhograjci I hit a perfect ten, not that dumbed-down one on TV. Temperature at start above Legastje -12.5°C, lots of new snow, in drifts even over 60cm, beautiful sun and sparkling white-clad landscapes.
Up via variant past Omejec farm, where I broke fresh light powder. The path is one of the nicest winter approaches to Tošč and not crowded yet. Here you could do a ski tour too. At junction with signs there was some old track from Gont, but after 10m it suddenly ended. So I broke trail here too to main ridge, where the path looked like a bob track already. From top still to Polh.Grmada and descend via Via Didi to Rovtar.
I always like to do such tour in such snowy conditions, it was more than great and needs to be experienced. Mountain enthusiasts relaxing in nature didn't lack today either, despite cold and new snow.nasmeh

Parked in the morning in Ločnica at the upper parking lot and walked down the valley to Rovtar, then via Via Dide to Tošč. The steep part above the waterfall was nicely passable today; if the melted snow turns to ice overnight, it'll be a different story. Higher in the long gully there's still thick old snow, above it over 10 cm of dense dry snow fell. On the trail I had to make a side detour due to iced and snow-laden branches; when paths split at Y, I took the left with less obstructing branches. There, after a short steep clearing, I quickly reached the forest road leading to the ridge marking sign for Tošč. Trodden trail appeared only on upper ridge of Mali Tošč. Creaking of beech branches warned me beforehand that it's blowing pretty hard up top and indeed it was windy as hell. From Tošč summit two mountain runners in thin jerseys were blown away right away, saying: That's crazy! Yeah, you'll need to take a backpack, I told them. Since it was clearing in Gorenjska, I went in idyllic winter conditions also to Polhograjska Grmada. Returned via lower traverse to Gonte and road to Rovtar. Very nice hike, I recommend it!nasmeh

Today around 9:30 I set off from Dvor to Grmada and then to Tošč. Midway it started snowing but it was nice to walk, lots of people too against expectations. Already somewhere at the start of ascent from Dvor where path turns a bit left steeply uphill I lost Olympus camera in black case. Missed it much later checked whole path but nowhere to find. They say people who hike mountains are honest. So calling on honest finder to return it as it has lots of my memories. Will be grateful if you call 040 630880.
