When the youngsters grow to the point where climbing this or that hill won't be hard for them, and they won't be pitiful ... and when I can leave them home alone ... then I'll be ready to go again nasmeh

Even for something more demanding, if EMŠO holds up ...
Until then ... I'll be more e-hiker ... that's why I'm quieter here - compared to some forumers with 20 or more 2000ers per year ...
But on Aug 25 I'm going by bus on a trip under GG (exactly on the 20th anniversary of the ascent) eek

@markulin: Sorry, I couldn't tell you about the last window. But we had a nice trip this Thursday, 18.07.2012 - via ridge (past Front Window) to the summit with return via Slovenian (south) path. The path is impeccable, flowers so many you tread on them unwillingly!

Sun breaking through the morning clouds.

Prisanko's western ridge, view towards Vršič.

On the ridge, view towards the summit of Prisanka.

The path retreats from the summit part of the ridge to the southern slopes, view towards the summit.

At the summit, emerging from the clouds: Špik, Lipnica, Mala and Velika Martuljška Ponca.

Descent via the Slovenian (southern) path.

Hi,

I need your opinion on the weather forecast for Prisojnik on Sunday. Forecast from hribi.net and Pro-vreme seems a bit too optimistic. Is it worth planning the ascent on Sunday?

That's Slovenian meteorological institute. Forecasts aren't 100% reliable, but seem mostly ok to me.

As for Sunday, weather won't be totally bad but unstable and relatively cold, not much rain but possible, snow will drop to 2400m Saturday so upper part might have some snow. Now - your decision, but I wouldn't go.

Today on Prisank. Up Hanzova, down Slovenska to Koča na Gozdu. Nice loop, slightly disturbed at top by strong cold wind. For snowfield used ice axe and crampons, as path along wall edge under snowfield on wet rocks didn't look appealing. zavijanje z očmi

Today via ridge path to Prisank, down Slovenska. Nice views, only at top it was blowing strong. Nice regards

Yesterday with wife and son towards Prisank. Plan was up Jubilee ridge and down ridge path. But we missed the sharp right turn down at signposts and continued straight on south path. When I realized mistake, we were far. So decision to go extended south path to Last Prisank and descend Jubilee. Prisank summit not interesting anymore, would extend tour by two hours and return in hottest heat to Vršič.
South path to Last Prisank unremarkable and fairly easy.
At saddle geared up with protection and helmet and continued right on north face of Last Prisank. Path nicely and picturesquely led on narrow ledges, great depth views and well protected.
Surprised by size of last window with mighty arches.
After climbing top of window, views to other side and bold path under window above considerable depth.
Continuation easier, path ahead not too demanding, only last part above notch somewhat harder. Follows fairly easy but quite long return to Vršič which tired us most, as still some ascent and sun pressing.
Yes, very nice scenic path into depths under Last Prisank.
Surprised by length, at home realized same as to Škrlatica with respectable 1400m ascent.
Compared to forum descriptions, seemed even bit easier than expected. If ignore drops below, technical demand not great. Hardest part under window properly equipped with iron, unlike Kopiščarjeva chimney with too much iron making descent safe with care.
Since often compared to Kopiščarjeva, I'd rate it shade easier, unprotected spots easier and descent less tricky.
True, dizzy won't feel good and end with shaking pants.

a bit upward to the other side towards the window

towards the most difficult part under the window

if anyone's pants shake, they will most here

Keko, what do you say about that ledge on Jubilejna, supposedly very exposed? Is it just exposure or also technically demanding?

The ledge is really exposed, but not technically demanding, as we climb to it on a well-protected path and walk along it holding the cable.

We went today on the Hanzova path, crampons and ice axe stayed in the backpack, helmet mandatory, harness and self-belay kit recommended, the path is very interesting, scenic, wonderful, at the top views like those I experienced 2 years ago, the weather held up, except after return it sprinkled us a bit.
