HMatjaž, please, if you DON'T KNOW the conditions, better stay quiet... Second window and Jubilejna dry as dust....

Nice greeting
On Sunday I would go with my wife to Prisojnik via the Slovenian path. We are not complete beginners, we have already quite a few two-thousanders, as well as very demanding paths (Raduha, Peča, Ojstrica.....). Condition is no problem but I noticed that there is slip risk in the summit part.
Grateful for any answer

Sunscreen and enough water then all OK...

No need to go to the top to slip, it can happen much earlier. When walking, look under your feet, not around, and it'll be fine! Don't forget the helmet!

If you already have experience with all mentioned, why not go via the ridge?

@gorvhribe: only the summit part is a bit tricky, where there is lots of fine sand on the path, there you need to be more careful on the descent, the rest is not problematic and secured properly; Good luck!

Thanks to the one who stole the wife's poles at the ridge path entrance today. The little one is only gaining trust in mountain visitors with this, which I'd like to instill in her. eek

eskubik, mine have been stolen twice already when I left them down off the path partially hidden... I hope they break for the thief mid steepest climb.

Meh, the poles aren't important. It's totally pointless that we keep telling kids that in serious mountains there are cool people who don't just look out for themselves. Then the kid at seven already figures out it's not quite true. Apparently only rope and somewhere where drone nuts and opportunistic hiking pole collectors don't dare remain real…

I've experienced it when we found the stolen pole at Kamniško sedlo with the thief under Brana. What a "fris" that guy did.

Folding poles are folding precisely so they can be clipped to the backpack or even inserted into it (like those that fold like an avalanche probe), when not needed (like on ferrata or when replaced by ice axe in winter).

If returning back the same path (e.g. Svinjak) then it's really easiest to leave poles below the steepest part of the path.

Although probably not this case, still. Even on this forum often someone posts they found this and that, took it home and owner can claim it. confused
Why not leave things where found? Owner will likely search there. Not that he has to go somewhere in Slovenia if he reads post here. As soon as you move it elsewhere, even nearest spot, harder to trace for him.
As for leaving poles anywhere, unnecessary because easily carry them. And times when only honest folks went mountains are gone. At least some thought so.

What's the condition of the route saddle Mlinarica - saddle Planja? https://www.planinske-poti.si/karta/?oid=1618

Officially supposed to be closed, dunno if it still applies or just some peg somewhere so it's doable...

Normally passable. A bit more concentration on marks which are poorly visible. Good luck wink

Marks renewed up to junction for zadnje okno. Further to the saddle really barely visible.

If anyone can help, I'm interested in how much time is needed from Vršič to Pogačnikov dom, and if any equipment is necessary for this tour?
