Pršivec 1761 m

I have fresh info if anyone is interested. The path is well trodden to the top, no problems. A bit harder only the part climbing out of the gully, the trail was smoothed and icy, with crampons fine. The path to Vogar early morning smooth, three steps forward two back, so need something sharp under shoes too. At the top warm, just right to sit in the sun. Views nice all around. Good luck all.
even just to here it's worth it1

Current conditions on the path interest me, probably quite dry from Vogar due to position, circular path over Pl. Jezero probably sinking re tempszmeden Where exactly from Vogar the path to Pršivec startszmeden

Best regards.

Yesterday visited Pršivec. Path mostly dry. Few snow patches, bit before top annoying part where snow sinks, hard packed so small crampons very handy. Yesterday several turned back there (cca 1700m). Weather and views wonderfulnasmeh Now curious about path via Vodična pl. to Viševnik, haven't been there, would do loopzmeden

You can also reach Pršivec directly from Ukanc. From the place where the well-known "Kravji bal" takes place late in summer, go another 300m along the road towards the power plant. The path starts at a small parking area, zigzagging up to the top of Pršivec.
Description would be too long, so I recommend Habjan's guide "Lesser Known Paths of Slovenian Mountains." The path is unmarked, towards the top we'll lose it several times. Very demanding orientation-wise, some passages quite exposed.
Path to the top is snow-free, only in sinkholes right before the top there's still snow lying, hollow underneath in places and dangerous for walking.
From the top I descended to Planina Viševnik. Path still in snow. Also from Planina Viševnik to Black Lake there's still lots of snow. Lost the path several times. In Dol pod Stadorjem there's a nice drying lake.
Black Lake is snow-free. Descent to Savica via Komarča also snow-free.

We cross Skale under Pršivec on scenic and steep clearing.2

The wooden steps no longer serve their purpose. However, we must go into this gully. Above it, the forest border ends.4
Above the forest line. The summit of Pršivec is already close here.5

Peter, how does it look from Black Lake towards Komnazmeden

@ mukica
I descended to Black Lake from Planina Viševnik. The path was snowy in the upper half. Didn't go to Komna, but assume there's still snow in shady spots.

On Saturday my girlfriend and I were on Pršivec via the direct route.
Path fully snow-free, just some snow patches in depressions.
Road from Kosijev dom onwards in excellent condition, same for the path to the top.
In the forest towards the top a wild grouse "greeted" me, and plenty of spring flowers led by primroses.
At the top it was divine - peace, views and weather.
Return via Planina Viševnik, where there's still quite some snow on the path to the planina, sinking in up to your butt. On the meadow above Planina Viševnik we looked for marmots, which were noisy but successfully hid...
Anyway, wonderful trip!

Interesting path from Savica Waterfall to the top. First part really steep and alpine, from Black Lake onwards suitable even for trail running, so you can be at the top much earlier than signs promise zavijanje z očmi But on the summit the stamp rubber fell off, so you can only stamp a square mrk pogled

On Pršivec we were on 12.11.2011, starting along the road from the Vogar junction, just to mention that the path is described as easy but based on all experiences I'd say it's at least demanding in the last part even in nice dry weather, even somewhat exposed, let alone in wet (need to grab rocks in places). This time the path was mostly dry, but in the last steep part covered with thick layer of leaves. At the top dense fog awaited us, which cleared a few times for a couple of seconds showing nice views towards the heart of Julians, but nothing more. I was a bit worried leaves would get slippery on return making path muddy and dangerous for slipping, but it didn't happen as fog cleared only when we were already "safe" in the forest embrace.

How's the path these days from planina Blato to Pršivec? Possible to get there without crampons?

Yesterday I went from Stara Fužina to Vogar, then via planina Vodični vrh, planina pri Jezeru, Krištofojce and planina Viševnik to Pršivec. On the section around Krištofojce and around Majska jama there's still some snow, otherwise the path is dry and normally passable.
Best, Tadej

Hi.

Not sure if it's the right forum, but anyway. Tomorrow we're heading from Savica Waterfall to Pršivec, past Črno jezero and Komarče. Does anyone know a loop back to avoid Komarča?

Thanks.

Cheers.
I suggest the hut at Vogar and descent to Stara Fužina. Then back to the car.

From Pršivec you can return to Bregarjev shelter at Planina Viševnik, from there under Griva continue to Planina Ovčarija. Then over Prode and descent via Lopučniška valley to Črno jezero. There before the lake right (signpost and rock inscription) to Komna. From there zigzag to the valley and car.
