The path to Rjavina is technically more demanding.

Start on Wednesday at 6:00 from Krma, clear, just here and there some mid-mountain fog which was quickly blown away. A little above Debel kamen hikers helped an injured elderly man who fell a few meters down the slope, an hour later a helicopter came for the shocked and shaken one. On the climbing path it was still fresh in the shade, very hot on the sunny side. The northern part of the climbing path is excellently secured, the ridge part somewhat less. Quite a few people up there, noticeable that the weather forecast ahead was worse. Due to premature water shortage (hot, hot) I had to return via Staničev dom, which prolonged the tour additionally - walking good two hours to the first spring (about an hour from the valley) in this heat not smart.
Morning above the basin.1
Some morning mists, all at the same elevation.2
Under Rjavina there are still some very thick snow patches, but all are off the path.3
Waiting for the helicopter.4
Over Peklo towards Triglav, there are still some small snow patches, passable without issues.5
Vrbanove špice, next time.6
Hikers on the ridge towards Cmir, between both Vrbanovima špicama.7
First serious exposure on the climbing path from Pekla is already quite high.8
At the top of this pillar we cross to the opposite wall, self-belaying is mandatory during photographing.9
End of the northern climbing path, the ridge one begins.10
Down, up, down, up11
Chamois a little below the summit12
The valley is far away, still very far.13
Mists were coming from the south, but they kept dissipating on the ridge, so the sun didn't spare us for long into the afternoon.14
Descent along the western ridge.15
Just 50 years ago, a large part of this photo was covered by permanent snowfields, remnants of the once large Triglav glacier16
Water supply point (and since we're here, also food - expensive but tasty)17
Miniature copy of the Dolomites.18
In the afternoon mists rolled in, mist was forming due to ice sublimation also at the foot of the snowfields, personally I saw this for the first time here.19
Real wilderness.20

I'm never bored on my solitary paths. I always experience something nice and interesting. What delights me most on these paths is meeting animals. Most of them can be seen on solitary, little-visited paths. That's why today I choose the path via Teme to Rjavina. Up to the shepherd's hut it was quite lively, everyone was rushing to Triglav. When I turn right towards Staničev dom I remain alone. After a while I leave that path too and turn onto a little path that takes me through a pleasant little valley into solitude. When I got a bit lost and didn't know where I was, I noticed a cairn or a little further the path again. Where you need to turn left, there are three cairns one after another.
It went nicely for me, I chose the right passages and soon I was on the screes under Rjavina. The path to there is really easy.
I climb up the exposed goat path to Teme. On Temenu there loom very steep grasses. It doesn't even cross my mind to sit there. Away from here as soon as possible, up among the rocks. I step quickly over the steep grasses, but they don't end sooneek Only high up, when the path becomes more rocky, do I breathe a littlejezik
I look back to the other side of the valley, towards the sheer walls of Tosca and Draški vrhovi. It's good that those from Pokljuka are so tame, otherwise I would never stand on their summits.
While slowly continuing towards the summit with such thoughts, I noticed high up, right below the summit of Rjavina, the mighty horns of a chamois. Only the horns were visible, moving now here, now there. He'll probably wait until I huff up there; I really wanted to see it closer.
He waited for me, lying right by the path, just a meter away. I'll go a bit more to the left, I think. Damn it, there was already another one with the same horns. There were more of them, all over the slope. I stop for a bit, then slowly continue, walking right between them; there was no other way. One of the chamois was so amused by this that he even smiled a littlenasmeh A little higher I sit among the rocks and watch them for a while. Meanwhile, fog was increasingly covering Rjavina.
On the summit a cold wind was blowing, so I don't stay up there long and descend via the ridge to Dovška vratca. I scramble down the scree to the marked path, by which I descend back to Krma.
On the way I find a pleasant viewpoint and treat myself to a rest and snackmežikanje Meanwhile three hikers pass by; I was really glad to see them, as I hadn't met any human for several hours. We continued part of the way down together.
It was a wonderful tour that will stay in my memory for a long time nasmeh Best regards to all.

Tisa and mukica, thanks for nice wishes. We will use some nice day in autumn for our beautiful mountains too.
Rjavina is a mighty mountain. Everyone can be happy who is given to sit in peace and quiet on its summit.

Ajda, do you go alone to the hills all the time? I don't know you and don't know how old you are, but I wouldn't dare go hiking alone. I also really enjoy our hills, where I relax mentally a lot. Keep safe steps ahead. Best regards, Majda.

For serious tours it's really best to go alone, since there's no adjusting for organization, pace etc. I did that but gave up, because as many people as many quirks and there was always some complainer who didn't like the time, meeting point, walking time, weather, pace, no hut in between etc., and after a few tours you get tired of stressful organization and just go alone and then you meet interesting people too.
I keep my backpack practically always ready, just pack water and food and that's it.
For easy day trips it's good to have some suitable company.

I'm glad on one side that women also hike alone in the mountains. I'm preparing for it too. For starters I'll go on easier tours...with time I'll see how it goes.

I also went solo in the mountains for the first time this year. First tour a bit with a lump in throat, next three with enjoyment. Hardest is getting out of bed in the morning, especially since no one expects you and you could sleep peacefully on. And then driving in the middle of the night to the starting point. If I miss company, at most then, mainly for navigation... 'cause I "love" to get lost. velik nasmeh

This is how it should be at the end!!! :)1

mmcajna, I wish you too as many hours spent in the mountains as possible. As for the solo hiker, there is no problem if they are aware of their limits. Slowly one gets far, tours should be graded by difficulty and hiking will be pure pleasure. Girls, boldly mežikanje But something can always go wrong for the one who is alone on the path or if there are more.
Good luck to all

Quite a few inspiring entries and opinions. I too prefer to be a "loner", though in my life I have walked huge amounts of paths in organized hiking company, it was nice, but true beauty reveals itself to me only now, in the autumn of life. And the goal for me is the path, the peak just a point where I should turn.nasmeh

Not to be completely off-topic, I'm interested if the remains of the allied bomber are still visible there somewhere under Temen. (Mihelič Julian Alps - Northern approaches) Anyway, I mostly hike alone in the mountains, because potential companions either can't or don't have time. So the answer to the question of staying home or going to the mountains alone is clear, especially now, when the best time for me to visit the mountains is coming. Colors are comingvelik nasmeh huts will slowly close and winter rooms will openvelik nasmeh The most wonderful nights I experienced at the 7 Lakes in silence before the hut and under a starry sky such as you don't experience every day.
Yes, sometimes you miss company, as someone wrote "beauty experienced in company is twice experienced beauty", but the call of the mountains is stronger. So safe step to everyone solo or in companymežikanje
