On Sunday, July 29th, the Mountain Run to Grintovec will take place. It's one of the toughest mountain runs in Europe. Some of the world's best mountain runners have confirmed participation in the race - so it's very realistic to expect a new course record. Also, some of our excellent runners will participate - Alič, Kuhar, Bregar, Lamovec, Kosovelj. So it will be very interesting. The race counts for the World Cup in mountain running. Runners and spectators warmly invited!

I still don't know if I'll run, because I've been recovering from pneumonia for 3 weeks now and I'm still not fully healthy. Most likely the only sensible thing would be not to run at all. But if the weather is nice, I'll still try to run it easy, because I know the atmosphere alone will carry us uphill.
If I don't run, I'll definitely come to cheer. The weather forecast is promising for now and I hope it stays that way, because it would be fitting for the organizers' efforts to be rewarded with a sunny day.

Yes, Bojan, for now the weather forecasts are quite pleasant. At 9am there should be about 16 degrees at the start - then I wouldn't mind if the sun hides behind a cloud for a good 2 hours...

I personally almost prefer it if it's a degree warmer rather than cooler. At the top of Grintovec it definitely won't be hot. Last year on race day it was snowing.

Ran to Grintovec - I still can't believe I really made it, because everything has gone wrong lately. Time wasn't important to me, just that I somehow made it to the top. Thanks to all the supporters, you were awesome!
Otherwise good participation, lots of spectators, great weather, excellent organization. No ankle sprains this time either.
I'll write a detailed report later.

Oh yes, there were. I was running(walking) behind a fantastic Hungarian girl, maybe that's why my result suffered a bit, but I certainly didn't mind at all .
