Congratulations on the route done - I myself already split the ascent to Škrlatica into 2 days (sleeping at Kriški podi). LpLj

When were you there in the mountains?

Path towards Vrata probably went over BOVŠKI Gamsovec - sometimes you need to go slower to know at least where you walked

Description is correct.... just look at the map a bit (Dovški Gamsovec)

The path from Kriške podov to Luknja goes over Bovški gamsovec! If you yourself don't know where you are walking, at least don't mislead others! Good luck and safe steps in the mountains

Maybe he went just then too fast and didn't know where he was walking.

We are also people who make mistakes. The path really led over Bovški gamsovec, I apologize, and no fussing. L.p.V.

Vinko, thank those bumberjem because they so gratefully accept the latest information on hiking paths. Good tour Those who know where they are headed, one can't mislead them. How much did you hike in one day? Dovški gamsovec 2444 m.a.s.l. is on the descent from Dolkova špica towards Kriške podi.... probably that's what you meant! (you think grammar bothers me...., smart alecks) LP!

Not only grammar, also take some time for reading etiquette.

Hikers(-women), mountaineers(-women) just don't argue - and that over trivialities! One gets good impression of you in mountains, on forums it's just bickering, name-calling, competitiveness, foul play. Good luck and safe on the path!

Hope to head to Skrlatica on Saturday. Where is the shortest path? How is protection in the wall? Regards

Shortest and easiest path to summit is from Vrata valley past bivouac at Rusju. Around 6hrs, path is well secured. Most head to summit without full protection kit. P.S. Currently snow on Skrlatica!

Yesterday we summited Škrlatica from Vrata. You couldn't wish for a better day for such a tour. Excellent visibility and surprisingly warm at such altitude. Otherwise the path is quite demanding, but well protected. Caution needed in the wall where there's already some snow. Good luck and use your head in the mountains

From Vrata - do you think I need crampons? I'd go end of the week.

Best to go in a t-shirt and shorts. If you'd checked the Kredarica camera or read the previous post from Bavški Grintavec, you'd get a very clear answer that winter conditions are in the high mountains and you need the appropriate gear. Ice axe and crampons mandatory.

Why show off , are seracs falling? Miss, Škrlatica clears fast from the south, so crampons and ice axe for backup and t-shirt and shorts too. Regards D
