With my faithful dog soul we did a great trip in Sečovlje Salt Pans. If it was once a walk for us to which we added this and that, this time this path was a real tour for her due to the princess's age. Sunshine, smell of sea and salt, warm almost for short sleeves and plenty of solitude. It would be a sin to wish for more nasmeh

Turbo offered a good idea for a trip, and with that we used the last allowed day to visit this region. First we went along the Dragonja to its mouth into the sea, where a really beautiful world opens up. From there we continued to the Salt Pan Museum, then a bit on our own along some chicken paths back to the marked trail. Here we saw a sign that actually prohibits walking on the path we had just left. Then we soon turned left, so we arrived at the starting point from the other side.
The path we did was somehow circular and in total it came to good 9 km.

The coast is a good choice in all respects. On Saturday it was particularly nice for us. Škocjan Inlet was planned plus something more, maybe to Ankaran camp, but in the end we walked more. Well, first as usual a croissant with cappuccino by the Izola coast, this time the first after the terraces opened. Followed by a pleasant walk through the inlet, with really wonderful bird song accompaniment. Then we drove to St. Catherine's bay, where the parking is now paid (2 euros per hour). Here we were surprised by the really low water level, which increased during the day and thus allowed us a nice continuation right along the coast while admiring many sandbanks that are not visible at high tide. Then continuation through the camp and further around Debeleg Rtič, return along the upper path past numerous braids. Later we descended to the coast again and returned to the starting point. In total it came to about 14 km of walking. Along the way guessing about the rusty coating on the coast, which turned out to be algae bloom (sea sparkle), which apparently sparkles nicely at night.
Well, we didn't wait for thatsmile.

Sometimes you have to go to the sea toosmile. On Tuesday along the SEŠKA path. Since it's circular, you can start anywheresmile. After finishing, swimming and beer, which in this case is earned.

Saturday 4.12.2021 "by bike"

Short trip by the sea and a little bit in the hinterland. Exploratory in nature, so that later something much longer will come easier from under the feet. Scent of salt, loud seagulls, warm sun and calm sea, in the distance snow-covered mountain peaks. Fairytale smile

Yesterday visit to Škocjan Bay, Školjčišča and a bit further. Here you always see something new, even something that was there before but wasn't visible on the horizon e.g. Dolomites. And we had a beautiful sunny day.
