Tonej, you probably meant snowshoesrolling eyes.
I have a question about snowshoes. How to walk in forest where path is partially trodden. On path or off. Thanks for answer, Blaž

Through the forest with snowshoes? Possible.

tonej,
I suggest you read the ad again and then check iglusport - hope you'll notice you were a bit off.

blaž,
with these snowshoes you can go through forest too, because you can fix them - lock the flex.

why are you selling them??

I'm selling them because I'm buying touring ski gear, previously I was snowboarding... if I had money I wouldn't sell them, because they are really top-notch.

I'm interested where in our mountains there are good terrains for beginners with snowshoes. Thanks for answers.

On the hill behind the village!
No no, just kidding a bit, I'd join Milan's question too, because I'm also interested where it's fairly safe for a total beginner. Mainly interested in upper Carniola area, say Karavanke. Thanks and LP.

Which model of snowshoes are you selling, are they still current.
Fleksarca, on Vošca for example you can go up and down as much as your heart desires, for training nasmeh

So I won't open a new thread.
There's already some snow in the mountains, so snowshoe season will slowly start. As a complete beginner, I'm interested where the best terrains or most beautiful ones are? And whether it's worth buying them or better to borrow for the start? What terrains are suitable for beginning, to see how it goes?

Hi GregorC!
I've been using snowshoes occasionally in winter for ten years. Suitable mainly on fresh snow, when walking is otherwise difficult. Best in deep, dry snow.
Snowshoes mainly help with walking on flat expanses or easier ascents with smaller slopes, depending on snowshoe design - steps for uphill, front teeth. There are plenty of terrains in Slovenia. Here are some: Pokljuka and ridges above it, western Karavanke, Fužinske plateaus, Komna especially, Velika Planina, To Vršič by road, Spodnje Bohinjske gore - some, Krma - Kredarica and other lowlands or foothills of higher mountains.
If you'll use snowshoes multiple times in winter, better buy new ones, discounts early January will be good. I have Grivel, which proved excellent, just they don't make them anymore. I've used them for a decade, no issues. Now I'll turn into a touring skier too, just need to get rest of gear. Lp - Rokmežikanje

Adding some specifics of walking with snowshoes.
Snowshoes like skis primarily provide foot stability relative to the snow base. Step with them is stable compared to "on foot" walking just in boots. Snowshoe or ski plastic medium stabilizes on snow base, step works without slipping.
On snow where hard crust forms, walking with snowshoes is harder and more tiring. Then need to always lift snowshoe out, especially difficult from front.
When going downhill or traversing slopes, on crusty or icy terrain, we quickly slide down the slope, so extra caution!. Check by anchoring one foot first, then test next step with the other. Later after years we get feel where downhill ok and where not, intuitively.
With new snow cover over 40cm, walking without snowshoes or skis in mountains is difficult, over longer distances impossible, so snowshoes or skis can save lives in winter (caught in multi-day snowfall or blizzard).

Viharnik thanks for the extensive answers!nasmeh For the start I'll probably get some guided tour to see how it goes. I browsed a bit and saw that there is huge offer and even right near me (Bohinj, Soriška planina,...). Then I'll decide if it's worth buying them or not. And lots of enjoyment further!

A bit in jest, namely, every Slovene should know it, as it's known for the Blegoš battle, if nothing else. The comparison to the Italian volcano Vesuvius was invented a few years ago by fans, allegedly locals who often visit that mountain.
