Španov vrh: from Jesenice via Jelenkamen

..Over the seven ravines..
...Tuesday's wander on the lonely path to Španov vrh. Descent via Pejce on the Mining path. In the forest near the small chapel they are felling trees and it's full of branches. Rocks over the water are icy and smooth. smile

....Circular path - Jeseniški rovt, Španov vrh, over Sedem grabnov... Path over Grabne marked with yellow dots. Some Knafelc markings too. Little bridges to Jeseniški rovt renovated. Trails and paths in all three directions pleasant to walk. Only on the lower slope of Španov vrh still quite some snow. smile

I went today after shift up there, not via Jelenkamen but directly through Dole and Lenčkov špik, further at the junction where the marked path goes left, then on the right unmarked path that goes around. On the summit exactly at 16h when the sun was already slowly setting. Still all paths here very muddy, but anyway, important to enjoy the mountains. smile

Today via Jelenkamen and Lenčkov špik to Španov vrh. To Jelenkamen path dry, only at Kalvarija and a bit below summit some snow patches on path. But muddy, water running on path. smile

Further along ridge more snow patches on path, from Lenčkov špik on I was wading. smile

Towards Španov vrh somewhere on path sinking to knees. smile

there is still a lot of snow towards Španov..

Along ridge further from Jelenkamen to Lenčkov špik bit of snow accumulated these days from snow showers, about 2-3 cm. smile

From Lenček on more winter conditions, through forest still quite some snow, but in between on path also dry parts. Weather today again windy and cold. Descent via path past hut on Črni vrh and down towards Pejce then to forest road.

Today foggy, only on the summit the sun started peeking. Some snow on the path from Lenčkov špik onwards, but quickly melting. Regards

Today again up, first to Črni vrh and on to Španov vrh. Back to start at Ukovi via hut on Črni vrh to Skavarjev rovt and over 7 grabnov. Here path already very overgrown and lots of fallen trees.. Narcissus on
meadows more and more nasmeh

Since I haven't been on this path for a long time, after work I decided to check nasmeh

path ok, on Jelenkamen and Lenčkov špik nicely overgrown. On Španov quiet, few people.. descended via path past Skavarjev rovt and Pejce to Murova. Regards

And then across Razgledno towards Ukova.

Today already second time this week on this path, via JK and Lenčkov špik up, back via Pejce to Murova. Path ok, a bit overgrown here and there. On summit a bit less hot than in valley, only in forest and shade nice and not too hot. Regards

First this year's ascent to Španov vrh. From Ukova to Kalvarija quite a few very icy path sections, then path ok and bare almost to Lenčkov špik. Further path snowy and icy, but less than towards Kalvarija. Back via path past Pejce to Murovo, that path mostly quite icy, few bare sections. Lp

Path at start ok, towards summit increasingly muddy. No snow on this path anymore. Descent as usual via path to home on Črni vrh, up to there still some snow. From there to Pejce and Murovo. Also first narcissuses blooming, for now few, here and there a flower. Lp

A bit after 17:00 I headed up, in the valley and to Jelenkamen it was hot, further already more bearable, on the Jelenkamen ridge pleasant breeze, also on Španov pleasantly windy, paths OK, just a bit too overgrown. From Španov vrh quick descent back to the valley, far behind Karavanke thunder was already heard. Lp

Lenčkov špik, then descent to the road and a few minutes' walk along the road to the junction.

To the left the marked path from Pristava, I took the unmarked one on the right.

Today after the afternoon thunderstorm. To Jelenkamen it was still hot and humid, on Španov nicely fresh. Lp

Again up this path, descent as usual past Skavarjev rovt and Pejce. Path OK, towards Kalvarija quite muddy, then OK. On summit cold, in shaded parts frozen. And from Španov vrh towards home on Črni vrh also very muddy. Lp

On descent to Skavarje new logging track crosses path, shortly before must detour around felled trees

Jeseniški rovt - Pejce... Path leads behind first bridge over Ukova stream. Despite leaves well traceable. Bridges through forest usable, at own risk. Peace, birds chirping and water murmuring all along path. At Skavarjev rovt already smells of narcissus. Path over Pejce always pleasant, nice stroll.. nasmeh
