Španov vrh: from Jesenice via Jelenkamen

To Španov vrh this afternoon from the lower chairlift station. Past GRS hut to Križovec and via Savske jame back to Planina pod Golico. Path to summit nice, same to GRS hut. From there through forest to Križovec poor trail, further again well-trodden to junction towards Markljeva planina, then somewhat worse. Crampons recommended only on toboggan run. It was unplanned and therefore even nicer ...

Also on Španov vrh it was fantastic today, path to Pristava without issues. A bit lower from Španov vrh the narcissi are already opening too. Heinz did we maybe meet today???

Pristava - Križovec - Črni vrh - Španov vrh - Pristava. Today just right for us two, it was like in paradise.

I've learned that narcissi are not only tender and fragrant, they are also resilient. Before last year snow fell on the slope of Mala Golica for a few days, flattening them too, but didn't finish them off and after a few days they were happily fluttering their petals again. Exceptional in every way ...

I too was on Golica two years ago after the snow fell (June 9). Those little narcissuses or LP locks are really tough

Up from Planina pod Golico on the usual path, down past Savske jame. Snow on the path is no obstacle, but joy and delight. Sharing some snapshots. It was a nice afternoon.

A few cm of snow blanket on Španov vrh, which doesn't pose obstacles on the path, if I ignore snow falling from trees down the neck . Larches were today's main goal. Sun wasn't favorable to them for long, so white and gold blend into a magical combination...
