The trip to Jakob is very dangerous and impassable in current conditions.
From the direction of Katarina over g. Schwarzmann the path along the usual ridge track is criss-crossed everywhere with fallen trees and hard to pass. From Žlebov upwards locals don't recommend it (at night quite a lot of trees were breaking there), via Legastje need to choose safer hayfields (higher above TR station in the forest also quite a bit of broken trees and still breaking).
I was lucky that the tree breaking in full force started only after 10h, when I was already safe on top of Jakob. For the return I chose the emergency route Katarina and the main road to Trnovec. Skiing on icy base was a special kind and not even bad if edges (curbs) are well sharpened. Locals say that for the weekend, when rain is expected, the forest will break again, so watch out! In better conditions Jakob is easiest accessible only from start at Topol parking, road to Schwarzmann, there on track right towards plateau before Rog and further on open ridge to Jakob church. St. Jakob has freed itself from the icy grip and sprinkled with 4 cm of new snow.
Heading up from Toško čelo via Ravnik and over St. Katarina across Roga plateau to Jakob summit. Mountaineering societies still sleeping a bit, so paths to Jakob still covered with fallen trees, otherwise reasonably walkable on foot. Due to rain, lower ice turned into southern harder snow, traces of my skiing rarely visible. After a week from glaze storm, only measly seven hikers in the logbook. Lots of snow lurking in mountains, well, we'll see how much tomorrow on Kofce. Cheers!

Nice to look into the blue sky, especially if you've been staring at fog for long. In the morning for Katarina they said clear and we thought, there it's always beautiful. But already at Ločnica it squeezed our hearts, looking at all the fallen trees that collapsed under the weight of glaze. Up top no different, everywhere you look you see consequences of the last freeze. We didn't walk much on paths, we followed warnings and just took a good walk.

Good that we Ljubljaners have Katarina, so we don't always look at concrete gray. And so it was today too, when fog dragged through the city jezen

We started from Slavkov dom via Roga to Jakob. Path still officially closed, but diligent people already at work, so it somehow went, of course some climbing and pulling velik nasmeh

under logs, but that benefits the body too. Met some little snow and spring flowers waking up.
As regular visitors of Polhograjci, whose paths also maintained by PD Medvode, we thank them for their effort, which we rewarded with a monetary contribution.

At the cross everything is already cleared.

It looks impassable, but with a little effort it goes.

The oak still stands, but not thousands of beeches.

The dog's tooth has just peeked out of the ground.

With good will everything can be climbed over.

Here it was already quite hot for us from the exercise.

There are catkins all over the ground too.

Ugh dear, watch out, a snake is crawling.

First little peak, you little wanderer...

Katarina and St. Jakob got new floral makeover,
on path still meet some tree barriers.
Today it was very muggy in the forest,
though sun behaved sparingly.
About the view today wouldn't speak,
as we didn't feel that joy.
But happy about flowers along the path,
go you too to meet these beauties.
