Question - maybe for Viharnik. Where exactly is the Pojzder farm below Jeterbenk? Is there any photo available? Where that farm should stand, there is no older house anymore, but a new marble-colored one. Did they demolish the old house or is the location not right? Thanks!

I wouldn't know, first time hearing about that farm around there. In which direction from the top of Jeterbenk should the house stand?

It's the house name of a farm that existed even in the time of the castle/fortress on nearby Jeterbenk. Allegedly the "peasants" used to warn the "castle" by whistling of possible approaching danger. So says the folk tradition. The location is somewhere between hamlets Dobje and Ilovk, both near the village Topol. Challenge?

On the top of Jeterbenk during the Turkish raids there really existed a small castle (foundations allegedly still visible). That castle was a refuge not for the nobility, but for robber knights who robbed the valley of the Sora plain and Ljubljana, then carried the stolen loot to Jeterbenk to safety, so I heard from the locals

Yes, that about the castle and foundations is quite alive in our neck of the woods. But as much as I strained my eyes, I didn't see anything there. The space on top is barely enough for a bigger kiosk. Maybe they were of a more pygmy sort

Thanks everyone, since I know this area more or less , but for two different locations they say at Pojzderju, so I thought someone knows more precisely which is the right one and has some photo. Otherwise on top of Jeterbenk there are visible remains of a tower, under Jeterbenk in the direction of St. Marjeta there are slightly visible remains of a settlement ... and a bit of imagination and it works ... The castle remains were allegedly used for the construction of the mentioned church ... if anyone is interested.

There are no ugly paths to St. Jakob, as generally there are none in Polhograjcih. Today start at Legastji, left at the junction, right on return. Nice open world, a bit through the forest, not bad, you hear the wind playing in the spruce tops. At the top you look around, there is something to see. Rog, Grmada, Tošč, Osolnik, Lubnik, Julijci in the background, Stol, Košuta ridge, Kamniške, all known, didn't mention all. This St. Jakob is the right goal for a short hike. No really sunny day is needed, today wasn't, so what.

St. Jacob already photographed on these pages (almost) from all sides. Yesterday spring-like, three years ago same day winter vibe....
