Today early at 5:00 in Logarska valley. Already plenty of cars at the parking lot, with me just a couple of people at the start, coffee at Okrešlju and on to Storžek and Ledinski vrh. In my direction only one, but real assault into Turski žleb!!! Single file column...hmm...did they even get up?? Chamois on Austrian side don't know how to pose, just watch from a distance. At Ledinski vrh nice chat with hiker from Maribor, hope you all met safely at hut, but return procession to Savinjsko sedlo, busloads of them, all (except guide of course) eyes on ground, nodding, puffing, every third waves back, in short penal expedition!!!jezik Anyway...nice day...

On Saturday we climbed Storžek from the Belska Kočna valley. We left the car before the barrier, although it was open at the time, but closed on the return. We walked the forest road for another 15 minutes, then climbed faster and faster to the Offnerhütte hunter's hut, probably abandoned due to overgrowth around it. The path there, called Presteralše, is quite overgrown too. Then followed a strenuous sun-exposed ascent almost to Savinjsko sedlo to the junction for Storžek (marked by "Klettersteig" inscription on the rock). At the climbing start we donned helmets, some used safety kit too. The climbing part is relatively short, some arm strength needed on parts, caution also required. Little space on the top. Views wonderful in all directions, Storžek the least visited of the nearby peaks. We returned the same way.

At six we started from Logarska dolina to Savinjsko sedlo. Part of the path still with headlamps. Here we turned right down to Belska Kočna, donned helmets recommended due to crumbly rock, into the wall. Cables somewhat damaged but no issue. Due to wet rock and mud on the path greater caution needed.
Short stop on top, wonderful views we'd stay there, even to the cross, then back to Okrešelj admiring the play of autumn colors.
Met only three hikers, but watched herds of chamois playing.

20.10.2012 still dark start in Logarska, to Okrešelj hut, breakfast, on to Savinjsko sedlo, small descent towards Belska valley and left branch to small scree under Storžek, to summit and down same way to Sav.sedlo. Since wonderful day for mountain strolling and Storžek ascent not too physically demanding we decided for "hop" to Mrzla gora too. Day already short, dark descent from Frischauf.

Before the winter forecast by the weathermen, hard-earned two days off nasmeh. Today's used wonderfully... plan only Storžek, but in such weather didn't feel like quick descent to the valley, so hopped to Ledinski vrh too...

Start Belska Kočna... Conditions on path excellent, well marked, but somewhat more caution than usual on wet sections... rock slippery.. wet even on return on some parts.

Otherwise morning long sleeves and thin gloves good for me, when sun up short sleeve enough nasmeh.

Few visitors, only met couple on Ledinski vrh, shared a beer "partisan" style, and two gentlemen at Savinjsko sedlo who almost "lectured" me to hop to Mrzla gora too.... zavijanje z očmi waited for next time.. zmeden

We drive to Belska kočna and head on the marked path to Savinjsko sedlo. At unhurried pace in under an hour and a half at climbing start. Climbing fun very short but nice. Too soon on top, so go check neighboring - forepeak?.
Some protections damaged but nowhere on key spots.
Already on top realize day too nice to end before noon, so soon decide and go to Mrzla gora too nasmeh.

Storžek, correctly apparently Belski turn (that's what the local says), also has a German name, is the only mountain of KSA entirely on the Austrian side. Access from Belska Kočna was chosen, return via Ledin (Vadin) and on foot to the lake, where the bus waited for 20 hikers of PD Medvode. The mountain is lesser known, many stand at Jezersko saddle under it and don't know what it is, but not its fault. From Belska Kočna it looks like a blade, which will be very hard to go up, when standing under it, the passages show themselves. An Austrian "Klettersteig" leads to it nasmeh quite poor, in dry still somewhat manageable, in wet it can be a party. Well, we went like kittens, didn't trigger a stone either, although quite a lot is piled up and just waiting. Safe up and down anyway. We returned on the hunting path from Ledin and unanimously noted that a new wind blows at Jezersko. The path is visibly nicer arranged, and everything around it too. Since the bus can't go to the last parking lot, we made use by force of circumstance of the opportunity of walking on the footpath to the lake. Nice, it passed very quickly. A day just right for the mountains.nasmeh

On Saturday 26.10.2013, once again to Storžek this time from Ravenska Kočna direction. Fixed protections not in best condition, special attention due to wet ground in upper part. Protections worn out at several spots - no major issues going up, but special care for descent. Storžek - Belski turn - Velacher turn worth visiting. mežikanje

If going from Ravenska Kočna direction you don't need to go up the "ferrata". First walk the path to Ledinski vrh, then at Storžek push through some scree and climb to the top. I like this variant. Nice, best!

That path must be wild then, since the wall looks quite scary. I went from Velika Baba direction, then straight down scree a bit toward Belska kočna and then right by the wall up to marked path for Savinjsko sedlo and then up Klettersteig. On return also Savinjsko and Jezersko sedlo, so a loop around Storžek for spice.

It already looks like that, in reality though not really difficultmežikanje. But that's just my opinion and impression from that path. Check other opinions a bit, think there's already something written about this variant on this portal.

Hello!

I would be very happy for any information about current conditions regarding Storžek. Are there still any snow patches below it? Is access blocked? Fixed gear? Thanks!

Today's: Ravenska Kočna-Slovenska pot-Climbing path to Velika Baba-Ledinski vrh-unmarked Storžek (II st.) descent via secured very demanding path and descent back to valley via hunter's path and past mountaineering center back to start. All three peaks over 2000 m. Crossed some 6-7 snow patches, but no big issue, midday already quite hot and still lots were melting.

Yesterday via Ledin to Storžek...up the ridge, back the climbing-ropes are still quite loose..so better to climb back down the ridge, and you save the ascent back to Ledinsko sedlo too ..

This morning with buddy to this nice viewpoint. Haven't been here for quite some time, too long. zadrega
Up and down the secured path, where really three or four pegs are pulled out in the lower part, but the wire rope still does its job. mežikanje
Weather cloudy, great for walking, visitors negligibly few. Maybe I could even write like six years ago:"Today we had this part of KSA mostly to ourselves." nasmeh

We also headed today to this nice viewpoint. There were quite a few people on all surrounding peaks, but we had Storžek completely to ourselves. As predecessors wrote, the wire ropes are in poor condition, but you can climb the whole thing without holding onto them.
