I did a loop myself. From Mače over Kališče to summit and descent along ridge by western gully under Lovrenc to Bašelj then shortcut to Mače. Really gorgeous day!

Today from Laško on hunter trail to Kališče then steady to saddle. Gear from pack to feet and hands. With light snowfall and breeze to top which greeted us sunlit. Took time for schnapps then obligatory tea in hut. Snow perfect for walking. Highly recommend.

Today on Stožc from Mač. The trail to the ridge is unproblematic, on the ridge and almost to the top winter gear is needed. Of course there will be less and less snow, but currently it is like that.

Early bird catches the worm, they say. So today we started early with a friend from home below Storžič. Up via the fifth gully, down via Psico.
Winter gear essential, trail conditions: compacted snow, a bit of ice and Saturday's fresh wet snow. At 8 on the summit the sun warmed us in the company of the wind. The path via Psico is mostly dry except at one spot where we used crampons.
Super utilized free day.

I was there. Winter gear not needed. Maybe only early in the morning when snow is still frozen.

Yeah, nice answers. I think it's good to write from which direction or which path winter gear was not needed, because otherwise someone might quickly end up on a path where without gear they won't manage, then trouble.

right now it's smart to have crampons and ice axe with you because you never know what can happen. I think things aren't so hard that you shouldn't have them in your backpack
anyway everyone does it as they see fit

For the path from Kališče to Storžič you don't need winter gear..from other sides the conditions at least look still wintery..good luck
