Yesterday afternoon via hunting path from Lovrenc. Path dry and practically bare to the top. On the top some snow patches that can be bypassed. Although windy, it was warm, sunset for the soul.

A couple of yesterday's photos from the afternoon ascent from Mač via Kališče. On the path there was ice in some places, so crampons were quite handy especially for the descent... Regards!

On 30.12. from Kališče it was nicely passable. On the ridge among the bushes you had to trample a bit, towards the summit the ground was mostly icy, so crampons were indispensable. Somewhere in smaller gullies there are larger snow drifts, so it's better to take the rocky path next to it  The descent isn't hindered too much by the drifts!

This morning again in the area. Path to Kališče muddy, from lower Kališče still icy. Despite the fog it pulls me forward again towards Storžič. Along the ridge it's still ok, but the steep slope to the left stops me and demands winter gear. I thank it and slide back to Kališče past beautiful pierced ice formations. To Mače in 'spring' rain (pollen, snowdrops) ...

Volk, I didn't quite get you, you didn't continue to the summit because you didn't have winter gear or were the conditions too tough?

Mače-Kališče-Storžič, sunset, when I went up the snow was still soft, on the way back already hard, almost no wind, it was nice.

Great pictures! I was up there yesterday morning too. Below the summit a bit unpleasant, because sometimes bare rock, elsewhere patches of soft snow due to sunny slope position. So crampons up/crampons down or find your way and look for ledges

The road is hardly passable, as they were still sledding on it not long ago.
