I was up there about a month ago via Psica. In Škarjev rob there was still too much snow (would need crampons, ice axe; the snowfield was very steep and long). That was a problem as dad and I had to descend via Kališče and take a ride to Dom pod Storžičem. On Psica bad weather. Hope I answered your question.

In 10 days snow has also melted quite a bit, how much a fresh hiker could say. So descent over Škarjev rob current conditions, please. LP

17.6. My buddy and I were at the top. Went via Kališče, excellent path, neither sight nor sign of snow.

Both via Škarjev rob and through Žrelo there is just a trace of snow and it doesn't present any obstacle.

With Mojca we climbed Storžič yesterday from Jekarica. Very nice path, no crowds, to Praprotnik hut need to bypass or go over some fallen trees, but no problems. Morning still clear, from Bašeljski pass onwards to the summit occasional mists accompanied us. Summit similar, no major views, occasionally only to Tržiška side and Jezersko visible, other peaks in clouds. Otherwise path completely dry and without features, summit quite a lot of visitors.

The road is normally drivable. Besides ours, three other cars were parked there yesterday.

Today Storžič via žrelo, back via škarjev rob. Žrelo snow-free, via škarjev rob still one steep snowfield, caution needed. Protections in good condition. Nice regards

On Saturday Storžič, up through Žrelo down over Škarjev rob. No issues on path, protections ok no snow hindering approach or descent, but caution needed as on all demanding paths. That day fatal for one hiker who fell into the depths a few mins before us just before summit mrk pogled

Yesterday, during lunchtime, quickly up through Žrelo... and down through Škarjev rob. Despite the whole week's forecasting of bad weather this weekend, the weather held quite well, except for cloudiness nasmeh

Today, still in the dark, start from home below Storžič through Žrelo to Storžič. As for the weather, very interesting. First cloudy, then foggy, at the top quite some sun. Glory also appeared, once right before Storžič summit, second time noticed it from Psica. Returned via Psica to Velika Poljana and via Mala Poljana back to home below Storžič. / hut closed /. Met only one on path, only around home some were strolling.

I start in the dark, and forgot the headlamp at home

Only Storžič summit was peeking out of fog this morning.

This morning I was on Storžič. There was only a sample of snow. It was windy at the top, but the views were decent despite the cloudiness.

....Approach and descent from the mountain via Škarjev rob. The path is very slippery. Nice memory for the unfortunate in mountains near home below Storžič.. nasmeh
