Three Peaks

Yesterday in the Dolomites, I did one long circular route around Tre Cime and then also to Lake Sorapiss. If someone is heading to Lake Sorapiss, let me say that the water is only a sample.

Start at Dolomitenhof and still in shade we reach the first ascent into Val Sasso Vecchio. Despite fairly late hour snow nicely frozen, holds and we progress quickly, above waterfall we put on snowshoes and continue in short sleeves. Tracks visible in all directions, but in such weather nothing else to expect...

also from the direction of the Pian di Cengia hut, little dots appear

at Lavaredo saddle there is still no one but it won't be like that for long...

Even Emperor Augustus introduced a holiday on 15.8. in 18 BC, but obviously some of us still haven't got it that in this time it's best not to push head through wall or into Italian tourist centers, because you'll collect them more or less. And when stones fly, it's not the most pleasant. Luckily helmet was sturdy enough, head no less. velik nasmeh

Great Cima is obviously quite desired, Little too, only Western this time had a bit more peace from us thinking intruders.

Path around beauties is really a 'maxi promenade', so I left it soon.
Buses from Misurina to hut Auronzo for 4 eur, parking 30 eur per day.

Nice weather forecast and also the running and ski-mountaineering event in Val Fiscalina contributed to the packed parking at Dolomitenhof. But despite that, towards the Fondovalle hut on the icy path and further on there weren't many skiers in our direction. How could there be, since the race was in the opposite direction: up to Zsigmondy hut, past Bullele hutlet to Locatelli hut, to Sasso di Sesto and down towards us. The trodden path where we walked is somewhere along summer path 102, since there's much less snow compared to last year, and also for safety reasons. A mix of new and unprocessed snow only forced us to snowshoes at Pian dei Laghi and so on to Locatelli hut. To the summit of Sasso di Sesto right behind the hut we climbed along the track of the ski-mountaineering competitors, who were already packing up the flags upon our arrival at the top, and then about 30 hikers and skiers gathered up there. Descent straight down and beer in the hut, where they were just finishing the award ceremony. Tour nasmeh

I really dislike photographing crosses on summits, but this one deserves it in my opinion...

Whether it is summer or winter, it is always nice there. Below and most of the ascent hard, icy, nice to walk, up top (above 2300) on the plateau it sinks in and snowshoes come in handy. Parking this year 8 eur for the whole day.

30.7.2020 Circle around Three Cimes is something that consciously etches into memory, body and soul. Every time I go past it countless questions without answers arise, so I no longer burden myself with questions ,,let go and enjoy,,,,

it's always nice here,,and here we always start and end our visits in the Dolomites

we started at dawn at the parking lot by the Rifugio Auronzo hut

and for a change we go clockwise,,past the Malga Langalm hut

soon they appear to us,,we can't hide our enthusiasm for these beauties, I would just hug them

Famous Three Cimes are just one of the Dolomites sights worth a visit. Due to its symbol here quite crowded, and toll quite salty too, but worth it! nasmeh

Last week I enjoyed the unique atmosphere of the three Cime with friends.
I must warn those who would also overnight in one of the huts that the approach and parking near the Auronzo hut costs 30 euros per day per car, with the parking ticket valid until midnight on the day of arrival, regardless of the arrival time.

What horrible concoction is "tri cine"?
They are TRE CIME. Literally three peaks. In German Drei Zinnen, in Ladin Tré Zìmes.
Like renaming Triglav to Troklav for us...

Degradation of the Slovenian language... I believe soon in orthography (if not already) the word delitacija instead of dilatacija. When we don't understand foreign words, nor hear them well... we write them ignorantly our way.

I fully agree with Oleg; what does our orthography have to do with a part of Italy where the original (German) toponymy is still mainly present?
Likewise, the Veneto region is not Benečija zavijanje z očmi

We know where the Beneški Slovenes still live.
