The closure schedule isn't exactly favorable for visiting the hut and surrounding hills. Especially for us farther away.zavijanje z očmi

I've booked a sleeping spot nearby so I don't have to get up too early, I'm also coming from far away. Plan is Vrh Konte, Vrh nad Škrbino, Koča na planini Razor and maybe squeeze in Vogel too.

Vrh Konte is quite "mellow" and requires attention. But it's nice nasmeh

Tolminske Ravne, Pl.Kal and to Tolminski Kuk, paths maintained, bushes cut. At the top I eat something and go to sleep, wake up towards evening. Then to Zeleni vrh and Tolminski Migovec.

One idea was towards Mahavšček and descent via the gully, but due to the unexpected heat I discard that idea.5

Yesterday did this tour in the usual order: T Ravne, Kal, Kuk. To the usual return via Pl Razor I added Vrh nad Škrbino due to the early hour. Except for a couple just above Razor planina I met no one. The silence of the beautiful day with great views was disturbed only by three hunters' shots and a short helicopter landing on top of Kuk about an hour after I left.

30.12.2025. In summer it's not a particularly difficult path. But now, with very little snow, you don't know what's waiting on the path. Just here, when we started from planina Kal a few times, we turned back under the saddle. Due to icy snow. And dangerous conditions for slipping. Yesterday the snow was creaking underfoot. At 1700m we put on crampons. Because the higher we went, the harder the ground was. And the accompanying wind that was forecast, we didn't even resist it. Just had to dress well. And when you took a photo, your fingers were already freezing. Minus 8 was the lowest temperature. But it was trampled all the way to the top. So we didn't take off crampons, we went straight to the top. Surprisingly, on the top the wind eased a bit, so we could catch our breath a little. Clouds crept in from somewhere and covered the neighboring peaks. Then uncovered again. As we descended the sky cleared. In Tolminske Ravne at descent quite a few cars in the parking lot.

it wasn't difficult. 34
there are some snow patches lower from the saddle, where crampons are very useful. 35

2.05.2026. Actually, all of nature is built so perfectly that every event conveys its correctness or incorrectness through its fruits. But whoever wants to remain blind cannot be forced to see, and that's right. (A.G) As usual, we went from Tolminske Ravne past the Kal pasture. There were cavers setting off to explore the underground. We continued towards the saddle between Tolminski Kuk and Migovec. We knew there was still some snow patches higher up on the path. Where we once turned back. Before that, an encounter with a viper waiting on the path for sun rays to warm up. I haven't photographed a snake so close yet. We said goodbye to it and continued. If we had known, but we learned at the saddle on the return that the snowfield can be bypassed. Someone even built a cairn showing where to go. The snow was hard as concrete in the morning. We put on crampons and crossed it. On the descent, we bypassed it and didn't need to put crampons on up there. Beyond the saddle, there was only a little snow. Very pleasant walking. All the way to the summit. It was a bit windy, but not too much. Some avalanche debris remained on the north side of the Kuk. You can see them when you're below the summit. Since we were early, we stayed on top for quite a while. Descent via the ascent route. Again, chat with the cavers at the pasture. And the last part of the path to Ravne. Somewhere above the Kal pasture, we heard the whirring of a capercaillie or rock ptarmigan. We didn't see it. Probably a nice last hike in spring-winter conditions. nasmeh
