At Tol. Ravne it's proper spring and so up to Planina na Kalu. Snow starts appearing when the path goes to the west slopes of Migovec; otherwise snow wasn't frozen but didn't posthole too much. For footwear it was challenging only on the section from Migovec to Kuk when we reached the east side of the ridge, where there's some scrub, there you can sink in. Views from the top so-so, due to the forecasted weather change. We descended via Zeleni vrh and from there under Škrbina to Planina Razor, where the last snowfields end too. On the whole path from Planina na Kalu to Razor we met no one.

Today's Planina Stador-Planina Lom-Planina Kuk-Planina Razor-Škrbina-Tolminski Kuk-Tolminski Migovec-Planina na Kalu and long back to Planina Stador around 25 km. There are snow patches, snow was south-facing, from Planina na Kalu it's bare to Tolminski Kuk.

After a good year back in these areas and on the summit of Tolminski Kuk, I never aim to reach a peak and then not visit it for years. I like to return soon, like to other main peaks multiple times, especially since there is much more peace here and there are also demanding accessible peaks like Podrta gora, Vrh Konte and the climbing route to Vrh nad Škrbino

Wine, just wondering if the paths are well marked? Haven't been to these parts yet, but planning a visit in the next few days

From Ravne to planina Kal is marked, then to Tolminski Migovec not, but path exists, also to Tolminski Kuk not (from Tolm.Mig.) marked, but from other side. To Podrta gora not marked, pathless, below slopes of these mountains the marked path goes, via climbing to Vrh nad Škrbino, very demanding path, descent back to Razor marked. If there's fog you'll have trouble. Or from Ravne to Razor and Vrh nad Škrbino via climbing, descent via southern.

Tolminski Kuk from T. Ravne via planina Kal. Path passable without winter gear. You step on snow only in two parts, which are 3m wide (can be bypassed). Otherwise the path is dry. North side still deeply under snow. Path to Vrh nad Škrbino also still under snow. Conditions will probably change now as it will snow more.
