Ahanasmeh. Yeah, at home I was wondering if it's maybe Mali Tošč, but I didn't know it really exists. Omodko, I didn't see any sign anywhere, unless I missed it.

Today unexpectedly during a mushroom picking walk I did a circular tour to Tošč and on top a very nice, solitary approach.
I left the car already at the beginning in the Božna valley and headed right up the slope hunting mushrooms. Steep overgrown pathless terrain brings me to the upper hayfields in front of Kozjek farms. There above the farms I tackle a short steeper 50m step of visible rocky wall (easier access through the left grassy part) and continue all the way right along the long ridge clearing. The path winds for a long time along the ridge and hillocks up and down and is very nice. When it runs out, a meadow and view of Tošč appears, which is already quite close. We continue towards the last meadow up into the forest and grab the abandoned cart track, which further turns into an oval clearing in the gully. When we see in the middle of the forest a lonely boulder with a tree, we stick there to the left on less steep terrain from the right side, where soon we exit onto a scenic grassy shoulder of the ridge with many overgrown viharniki. There only about 50m ascent straight up to the summit with nailed plaque on the pine awaits us. Watch out not to run into it at a slightly faster pace, veer off and fall directly onto the Tošč benchvelik nasmeh. I descended circularly via sv. Jedert and Petačev graben back to Božna. The tour is worth every repetition, especially for nearby Ljubljaners and locals. The path is known only to locals and rare Polhov Gradec hikers. Recommended!nasmeh

Viharnik, I think you're one of the first cloned Slovenes. I'm curious how many of you there are? Three, five, eight? One day Kredarica, then right away Tošč, in between probably something else ... and it occurred to me that one person can hardly be at so many places. Almost no tour on hribi.net that Viharnik hasn't done ... and it occurred to me... what if there are more??? Joke, joke. Always nice pics and cool comments. Lots of health and safe steps further!

The sour Sunday didn't keep us at home. So we wiped it off again towards Polhograjci. This time to Polhov Gradec. Some time on asphalt, past the Technical Museum to the junction for Tošč. Path well marked. When it enters the forest, it climbs in zigzags along the hay meadow past Jelovčnik farm at 686m. From there it goes into the forest and crosses steep slopes all the way to Mali Tošč. Descends to the saddle where the path from Govejek joins. Short ascent and we were already on Tošč. We didn't stop much as it was windy, so we continued towards Grmada and below it turned onto the loop path back to the aforementioned farm and into the valley. On the way there was everything..from sleet, rain, sun, fog, wind...but...it was worth it. Nice Sunday.

Yesterday's hop to Tošč was unfortunately without clear sky mrk pogled , nevertheless we enjoyed the view of the nearby hills, and there was no rain either velik nasmeh!!!

As long as Polhograjci still have some snow and surprisingly it's dry without crust here, it's good to use the tour.
Start at Legastja past Micka and Govejek then across Gontarska planina, Iga, Kozjek farm to the top. All the way I went with skis, only 50m below the top I walked. Unlike foggy Ljubljana, Polhograjci above 800m were bathed in sun and warmth. The tour isn't too short and excellent for maintaining fitness. Descent through the forest would be better if there was some base below and a bit more snow wouldn't hurt. Still, the tour pleasantly surprised me, of course this time with skis. Lpnasmeh

Another morning past Omejec, this time descent with skis. Fog accompanied me the whole way. The snow is already quite heavy, but it was worth it anyway.

Today I did a nice path variant. From Sela to Tošč (this one is beautiful in all seasons), then descent towards Gonte, but a bit before the junction to the hunting path, then again also on unmarked steep path back to Tošč. Path very scenic in the upper part, worth repeating.

in the gully between Tošč and Smolnik, after a rough night....I was there yesterday, the road is passable, at least I think, from the direction of Črni vrh or Sela, since they came down with the car, machines.

Maybe someone knows if the unmarked path to Tošč, which leads from the junction to Petačev graben past Kozjek and further along the ridge after this year's ice is passable?

Well a bit late reply, maybe someone else is interested. Via hunting path over Pesek 777m and further along the ridge I went in May 2014. Path is passable, here and there some broken tree, otherwise ok. Very nice approach to Tošč, recommend!

Today by force of circumstance, at Silvo's urging, I headed to my home Tošč.
I start at roadside parking Trnovec and via Omejc farm and saddle between Toščes climb to the top. Silvo had advantage with start at Sv.Jedert on Škofja Loka end, but up there they waited for me just 10 min. Tošč today offered all hikers wonderful sun with clarity, only twice peripheral clouds came from dark Gorenjska and blessed us a bit. At top we had nice debate, in between also treat from friendly hiker with apricot pie. We all just contentedly basked in unusually warm sun and wondered if all this is real and possible. Silvo with Polona headed to Škofja Loka, I via Gonte along road to valley.
Nice late autumn walk, which I don't remember so warm.

Tošč gives you energy! Today in afternoon sun did the ascent to summit from sv.Jedrti.
This is a path beautiful in all seasons, at any time of day, for all life stages. Path itself soft, adorned, panoramic, quite solitary, along path full of nicely grown junipers.
Some are like real bonsais.
