I never had or used it, nor on any other of our very difficult secured paths. I use it only on ferratas. Depends how confident you are on such paths

As a mountain guide I'll say you definitely need it. But like the blacksmith's mare I admit...I've never had it there myself 
As the previous said, depends on experience. But that half kilo you easily carry...because if needed you can clip it on. If you don't have it at all...you just can't.

I'm also interested in conditions for this route. To Ledine and up the climbing path to Baba. Descent towards Jezersko saddle and back to Ledine. Still any snow?

PV: Haven't been, but I'd expect snow at least on that scree you climb to get from Velika Baba to Jezersko saddle. Also, on the Zgornje Jezersko webcam it looks like you have to cross a snow patch to get to the start of the secured part of the Slovenska pot.

If anyone's interested - we went yesterday via Slovenska to Kranjska koča (btw, hut was closed yesterday).
That snow patch right before wall entry can be crossed without issues without winter gear. Rest of path all fine.

Today I didn't feel too much like going to the mountains, but Janez was persistent, and we went to Velika Baba from Belska Kočna via Jenkova Planina, and I didn't regret it.
We descended to the other side, where we then set out to find the hunter's trail under Baba, the one that leads back to Jenkova Planina, as it had been teasing me for a long time.
First descent over scree and across broken gullies under the walls there to about 1300m, then left following the hunter's trail, which is fantastic. The path climbs another about 300m, and through picturesque, demanding terrain, takes the curious around Baba. Orientationally demanding, steep, at times exposed. Nice hot day in the mountains.

I plan to go for the first time Ravenska Kočna - Velika Baba, via Slovenian path and Jezersko saddle and I'm wondering how much SVK will be needed

As far as I remember, on the Slovenian there are steel cables on all the hardest parts, so SVK actually increases safety quite a bit. Those parts are very steep and exposed in places, but not particularly difficult. As far as I saw, most people here don't use SVK, some do. Given that you don't have experience with paths of this difficulty yet, in my opinion it's smarter to use it.

I also looked at climbing-Slovenian, but it's probably safer if you go first via the saddle, right.

Yes, the climbing route to Velika Baba ("Rudi's vertical") is harder, and besides it's currently closed due to damaged protections, so better to go over Jezersko sedlo.
