The path from Ledin to Rudijeva vertikala is also normally passable. There are still avalanche remnants in the gullies, which can be passable. In the gully between Ledinski vrh and V. Baba I felt like under the guillotine. With quick steps I climbed Rudijeva vertikala to safety.

Velika Carinthian Baba, 26.7.2021


Started at Ravenska Kočna, then to Goli Vrh, along the ridge to Velika Koroška Baba, further to Ledinski Vrh. Plan was also Mrzla Gora, but weather worsened. Also quite windy, so went to the hut at Ledinah and via Slovenska to start.

Cable is prepared for mounting above Rudijeva vertikala at big rock. At Velika Baba logbook is full and should be replaced.

Today 10.9.21 on descent to Ledinski vrh lost watch. Not very valuable - but I liked it. Finder private.

Very nice path over Ledinski vrh if dry. Noticed rope by path at start of last ascent. Is that rope for current ferrata or just aid for ascent?

Two years ago I was walking on screes under Rinke and Turska gora and already on descent, I spotted something dark on a larger rock on the scree under Turska. I thought it was some memorial plaque. I headed up the scree and in the end saw that a model of toilet paper with holder was attached to the rock (well, at least it looked like that to me at first glance). That was the first time I saw it and then also at one, maybe two other places.
I have no idea who set this up, maybe hunters and that it works as a salt lick, could be, I don't know much about it.velik nasmeh

First association was toilet paper and how nice it is to wait for morning sun here! Hahaha!velik nasmeh

Reminder to people not to be pigs. I've already seen on the path to Baba along this route literally brown piles and paper in the middle of the path.

Second hand: some snow patches under the wall still there, but they've already gone up. Don't know exactly how those snow patches look and how big they are.

Yes, walked today. Checked protections along the way, if the rope holds, in some places the peg holding the rope is pulled out, in some places the rope is wrapped around, and on Rud. vertical already 2m of rope torn off. In between checked radar image for precipitation, so no storm comes from somewhere. The box is damaged by lightning.

Hi. Plan to Velika baba over saddle and along ridge to Jenkovo. Any peculiarities? Any advice? Better reverse? Thanks.

Direction in my opinion right - I always did it this way too, to descend the ridge. And with two puppies, who did the path without issues. Ridge exposed and a bit airy at a few spots, so secure step important. Good luck nasmeh

If you're going from Ravenska Kočna, then the best or most interesting is RK-Slovenska-Ledine-Rudijeva vertical-ridge-Jenkova. Otherwise, if you don't like cables or coming from Logarska (even then I'd maybe descend to the junction for Rudijeva and up from there, because it's nicely routed.
On the ridge path itself there are no peculiarities, a bit extra caution needed due to airiness at individual spots.
