Yesterday in beautiful weather I did a circular tour to Veliki Draški vrh. Start at the barracks on Rudno polje, past the ski slope through the forest and below the south slope of Plesišče, and above planina Konjščica to Jezerc. There I first turned left to Studorski preval and from it right along the ridge to VDV summit. From the summit then left down below Mali Draški vrh to Jezerc and from there left to Srenjski preval. At the top of the pass again right up the steep slope to Viševnik, from there just descent to the ski slope and back to barracks. Despite extremely warm weather the snow was firm all the time so walking was real pleasure. Recommend mandatory crampons and ice axe from Studorski preval to ridge and from Srenjski preval to Viševnik.

Yesterday from Pokljuka via planina Konjščica and Jezerc to Veliki Draški vrh. Down to the saddle between VDV and Tosc. Snow only in the deepest hollows.

On Saturday circular tour from Rudno polje first to Viševnik, then descent to Srenjski preval, past Mali Draški vrh to Veliki Draški vrh, then descent to Studorski preval, and back to start. Weather very pleasant, views superb, day well spent in good company.

Saturday, 14.7. from Rudno polje first to Veliki Draški vrh, then also to Viševnik and back to start. Nice day.

31.7.. Veliki Draški vrh.. Started from the end of the road on Pokljuka, first and last time. Road bad, back full of soaked mud and deep tracks of trucks and cars. Managed through this ... Path from Studorski preval is nice and interesting. Rocky passages aplenty. Haven't been to this mountain for a long time and almost forgot what it looks like. Lots of gentians blooming along the path. On summit fogs were rushing by, got me a bit worried. Descended through grass and in saddle back to Studorski preval. Nice tour. nasmeh

Excellent when organizer offers two variants to hikers. First from Rudno polje to Jezerc, to Konjščica, to Uskovnica, plus energy points - all relaxed, enjoyable, no rushing - excellent leading by two guides. Total 15 km, happy lady hikers.

Second group from Rudno polje to Jezerc and on to Studorski pass. Skip Ablanca left today, at pass turn right into bushes towards Great Draški Peak. Path unmarked but traceable, first bit bashing through bushes, some climbing, nothing dangerous. Then ridge to 2243 m VDV, under 1,000 m ascent done. See quite some gentians on path. No blue sky today but still views. Left Tosc, summit joyful views to Triglav with Planika and Kredarica, Rž and Rjavina. See Little Draški Peak and Viševnik. Also Deblo peč, Mrežce and Lipanski vrh. Selišnik covered... see one future goal - Macesnovec. Descent dir. Srenjski pass, but turn right to Jezerc first, loop closed at Rudno polje. First drops hit us on bus.

Didn't even think where, just go up somewhere. From Pokljuka and above Konjščica to Studorski pass and along ridge to Great Draški Peak. This ridge starts with narrow path through bushes, bushes a bit trimmed, some climbing but no big deal. Windy on ridge, lonely at summit. Thought to continue to Little Draški Peak and Viševnik but sat at summit instead and later descended lower path back to Pokljuka.

Today up from Rudno polje over Kačji rob to Srenjski pass. Then under Little DV to foot of Great DV and along its edge to summit. If you stick to edge, join secured path on east ridge ca 50m below summit. mežikanje

Descent to Studorski pass and then above Konjščica to car.
Morning even salt in container under Viševnik, later another nice autumn day with temps way above average for season. zavijanje z očmi

Konto below VDV bypasses to the left and we go to the edge...

Sometimes you use your hands... nothing serious.

Today the conditions were good. A bit icy in some places, and there was a bit of sinking underneath, but if it were always like this, it would be great.

About 50 m below the summit I found an ice axe. It is waiting for its owner at the Bled police station.
