Veliki vrh (Veža), Velika Zelenica, Molička peč

I convinced my granddaughter to go for a little hike. From planina Podvežak over Prag to Veliki vrh and to Velika zelenica. After a short stop, also to Molička peč. We didn't meet many people. Nice day, quite chilly in the morning. Road in fairly good condition. Stopped for coffee at Gams and also at the mill.

Today there was a planned group of kaveljci for the ascent to Veliki vrh, but 18 hikers gathered altogether, of which two kaveljci. We went to planina Podvežak, headed towards Korošica and continued towards Veliki vrh. The path was pleasant, hot in the valley, quite fresh up top. The last half hour is steeper ascent to the top, but we made it, for some it was the first two-thousander, for others Veliki vrh for the first time.... Unfortunately even at the top we didn't get blue sky and better views. Still we saw towards Dleskovska planota, Križevnik, Rogatec, Lepenatka, Kašna and Velika planina and Menina planina. We went also to Velika Zelenica and started descent. Lots of alpine flowers, special joy to see edelweiss. We refreshed a bit with blueberries and wild strawberries, coffee at planina Podvežak and refreshment at Črnivec, where they have beautiful flowers, and it cleared up too... unfortunately not at Veliki vrh, next time.

Today from planina Ravni over Dolge trate to Molička planina, then to Veliki vrh, Velika Zelenica and then under Poljske device and over planina Poljšak back to start. Larches already in wonderful colors, the day fairy-tale.

Also the previous day, on Saturday, it was gorgeous. We walked the same path one day earlier, just in opposite direction.
Towards the west low cloudiness, sea of fog ...

After one year again in this corner, this time with Barbara.
Morning still a bit wet. Higher up strong wind and really cold. We decided that without gloves in backpack we won't go anywhere anymore. Otherwise nice, some fog, some clouds and also lots of sun.
On return we stopped at Žagarski mlin.

First time in this part of KSA. Planned and realized circular tour: Veliki vrh (Veža) 2110m, Velika Zelenica 2114m, Molička Peč 2028, Poljske device 1879m and Križevnik 1909m.
Start at Planina Ravne, past Zelene trate to Veliki vrh and then ridge crossing of all peaks.
Path not demanding, except initial bit of descent from Velika Zelenica towards Molička peč and from there to Poljske device. But with careful step no problems. Most of the path not marked, but almost impossible to miss nasmeh

. From Križevnik descent to Planina Polšak and back to start.
Initially partly cloudy on the two highest peaks, second part of day (and path) turned into magnificent sunny day. Almost no wind all time! Several hikers, mostly in opposite ridge crossing direction. Scrub under Molička peč and P. device not critical for passage, just some persistence mežikanje

Bottom line: recommend to all who haven't visited these ends yet. Not demanding, stunning views. Dominant view to Ojstrica and peaks and valleys around it. velik nasmeh
