Hello,

At the entry to the ferrata I forgot my hiking poles (picture below). In case someone needs them, let them take them so they won't litter the environment. If someone returns them to me, even better - the reward is in my name (Chivas)🙂

The ferrata is currently in good condition with new protections. There is no snow at the entry.

Directly down from the bivouac to Koritnica (faded markings and cairns), where of course you need transportation... Quite a long descent to the southern side (almost the same time as the ascent). The poles have already been returned!

No one can do everything, but everyone can do something. I read that somewhere. For visiting Vevnica we chose Saturday 4. 07. 2026. The day was nice and sunny. The wind also cooled us on the way. Start in Loška Koritnica quite cold. But then it warmed up. Continuation along the known path all the way to the bivouac. In the morning three young hikers overtook us, who were heading across Kotovo sedlo. . Because we met once more when they were descending from Vevnica somewhere below the summit . Crossing the scree gave us some headaches. Water had washed away parts of the path. As I remember last year we went there without problems. When we were approaching the bivouac we saw two hikers who set off for Mali Koritniški Mangart and probably further to Huda škrbina. We didn't hurry at the bivouac. We set off further along the unknown path. About half the way or even less there are steel cables and no problems with crossings. Further on there is a triangular sign for a demanding path, because there is no protection to the summit. You have to be careful on the rocks . And the last scree to the saddle. The sky heard us. On the summit wonderful. With views . Descent without problems. Pleasant chat at the bivouac . With hikers- Maja and Peter and the better half. We didn't even think that anyone else would come up from Loška Koritnica. The descent was waiting for us. It went well for us. After all we are used to such paths that soon won't exist anymore. We hiked 15 km . We accumulated 1700 elevation gain .

Thanks, julya. It was worth waiting another week for the snow to melt. That cable is still unusable. But it doesn't present problems. More important was that the cables held in two places, because you had to pull yourself over. I had a few meters of rope with me, in case I needed it somewhere. But it wasn't necessary. As an interesting fact we only met our hikers. nasmeh
