Tolmin folks are very diligent when it comes to path maintenance. I remember the E7 path from planina Podkuk to Rodica; they cleaned it a couple of years ago. We met them just working on it. I think there should be no problems here.

We descended there mid-November when returning from Kuka. The gully was full of litter from nearby slopes, but the path was still nicely traceable and passable. I think you shouldn't have problems.

Great, thanks!
I know that last year's storms left quite some devastation also in these parts, so better to ask nasmeh

Family hike from Tolminske Ravne to Vrh nad Škrbino via the above-mentioned path. As others have already reported, everything is B.P. with the steep path through the forest.

The safety gear up there all OK, except maybe one pulled-out peg, but in such a spot it's not delicate at all. Otherwise, first time we went with kids on a ZPP and it seems a great introductory hike. Not demanding, but still enough for them to practice using the gear, moving in such terrain, etc. Kids like it that it's not just walking, it was good motivation. We all enjoyed nasmeh

Views from Škrbina and the summit to Bohinj were great. On the way back we listened to marmots, unfortunately we didn't see them.

Back via Razor to the hut for excellent lunch and finally refreshment in Soča. What more could one wish for.nasmeh

On Saturday, the 12th of April we went from Tolmin Meadows a few minutes before 8am on the summer path towards the Summit above Škrbina. The day was warm. We quickly overcame the first steep slope to Razor pasture. Snow starts somewhere on the path at 1600m. We continued over the avalanche chute. We soon used crampons for walking. We left the poles as usual before entering the steep slope and used the ice axe. Four hikers could be seen towards the summit. They descended on another probably shorter path once they had cleared the steep slope. Two descended on the slab and we didn't see them anymore. There is still a lot of snow. Higher up we had a track all the way to the summit. The last part to the summit was windy and cold. We descended on the ascent path. The snow was breaking in that steep slope on descent as expected. No problems. Total 12 km of walking and 1200m elevation gain.

Tolmin Meadows, mulatjera to Razor pasture, Globoko. In the bivouac I get dressed and continue along the ridge over Meja to the Summit above Škrbina. Dry conditions. Descent towards Škrbina, a bit of very little ice which doesn't cause major problems, I check the cables as I go. From Škrbina I continue to Vrh Konte, pre-summit and summit on the airy ridge. I descend back and direct descent to Tolmin Meadows.

The trail is described, but unfortunately from the description I can't figure out what kind of demanding trail it is.

Klemenski,
It's about this section, circled in the photo.
A bit more rocky, but from my memory, not at all exposed.

Klemenski, the trail in this section is engineered and equipped with wire rope in many places for easier passage. When going up, you wonder why so much cable, but when descending, it comes in handy due to the considerable erosion of the trail. Actually technically not demanding. Not exposed. The trail remained in my good memory.
Basically something like that.1
