Yesterday I took a short walk from Kranjska Gora towards Vršič. Up to the 2nd hairpin and another good 100 meters nothing special, goes with car too then, but only snow and snowmobiles or ratrak. I was optimistic to go to the Russian chapel and then down to Krnica, but after a few hundred meters realized more and more snow, more and more sinking. Good info for ski tourers. Then I rather skied to Krnica from the bridge over Pišnica. There we made a trail, then ratrak there and back, and snowmobiles .

Yesterday, 8.2.2018, the ratrak made a trail at least to Koča na Gozdu.

Yesterday, 11.2., from Kranjska Gora to Erjavčeva hut on Vršič. As already mentioned, the trail is ratraked to Koča na Gozdu, further a beaten track.

Given the not very promising weather forecast, yesterday my dear and I decided to run the path, or rather the road from Kranjska Gora to Vršič. It took us one hour and fourteen minutes. After a well-deserved beer in the hut at Vršič we also jumped to Slemenove špice. Although quite cold the weather held up. Snow flurries appeared on the surrounding hills, but nothing serious. Rain came at the car when we had already run back.
Again one wonderful day for the soul. We stopped for ice cream then hurried home in the rain.
