It's just how it is that recklessness in the mountains sooner or later unfortunately costs dearly. It's the same with many other activities, not just certain sports linked to danger. Walking into the mountains in these conditions without proper equipment is like cutting corners on a bike. It'll work for a while, but sooner or later a car will come from around the corner. And then it'll probably be your last bike ride. Or climbing a roof without proper protection. Sooner or later you'll fly down. In all these things, only maximum possible protection, knowledge, being informed, and considering your psychophysical abilities provide some safety. And only from there can we speak of responsible behavior. Even then something can go wrong. But that's another story, as it's calculated risk that everyone engaging in such things enters consciously.

Accidents will always happen, unfortunately, most don't take well-meaning warnings seriously and see them as preaching. Anyway, if some mountaineers enjoy doing "suicide" or "intentionally" injuring themselves then it's 100% their decision. Some thank for the warnings, as they go to the mountains as safely as possible. What the rest can do is avoid steep terrain where careless mountaineers could trigger rocks or avalanche. Simply turn back or wait for others to do theirs. A rock won't trigger itself. But an avalanche can be triggered by additional load from someone above us. Whenever I went to Tolmin area, Trentar side, I didn't get a single rock in front of me all day. I saw triggered rocks most often in KSA, Upper Gorenjska, Karavanke...., where others were too, unfortunately on some terrain you can't avoid triggering rocks, so you have to watch around more there. Not long ago someone wrote on FB, when going to Triglav, that someone was going up without crampons, ice axe and endangering others. If he slipped he would take someone else down, the one who wrote turned back, others convinced the one without crampons to return. Also yesterday someone thanked for GRS help near Vratača before new year, where someone triggered rocks on him and luckily only hand injury. Juš would know more about it, as he was there with others who helped the injured. Helmet and gear saved him. Without gear you can only guess what happens in such case. I wish everyone safe hill visits further

For the idyll in Ljubljana some snow was dumped, overnight froze at -2C, already yesterday evening cleared both sides, no ice on the puddle yet.

Viharnik, why do you write about shoveling snow in singular? Probably your neighbors who are athletes and fit also helped in solidarity. Or maybe they don't master such demanding tool as semi-automatic snow shovel and they disappeared. Regards
