Which flower is this?

Here grow the snake's-head fritillary Fritillaria meleagris, which has a checkered pattern, and rarer mountain fritillary-Fritillaria orientalis, which is quite similar to it. This was photographed by B.C. and is a few pages back (87). The fritillary in the picture has streaks, that's the Greek one (Fritillaria graeca).

Looking at Tadej's pic 11 and mine... I don't see similarity, since his is lower growing than this one I have in pic. And flowers seem more cup-like to me than Tadej's...

It's not exactly a thankful job to judge which flower it is based on a photo, but for yours I say almost 100% it's the alpine pasqueflower. If I'm wrong, our excellent flower connoisseurs—there are quite a few—will tell. smilewink
Best regards!

Otiv, of course you're right.

Bandzo, it depends on where the plant grows, how open the flowers are....how you photograph...

Sorok, your beautiful white beauty is Traunfellner's zlatica. Similar to the alpine one, only extremely rare. This little beauty of yours I haven't seen this year yet. Will have to go a bit to the Czech or Ledin - there are plenty.
