You heard right Franci. In Europe it was first a park ornamental plant, but it has spread into nature too. The plant is poisonous.

Otiv thanks, I didn't know it was poisonous, I thought it was that bean you get in grains at Merkator.

Brane and Otiv, two "blooming" barons, helped by "pink" Apolona; every flower is beautiful, that waits for a friendly look. Otiv; nice shots of nice flowers; which camera do you use, which filter, and do you shoot in "macro" mode? Thanks for the answer and many more blooming pleasures!

That's nice that someone else writes in verses too, since life doesn't always draw joy for us. Thanks @dleskovec I use Olympus SP-800UZ, no filter, but I stop down the light by one or two stops depending on the flower color. Yellow ones are the trickiest. I shoot in all modes, including macro, it depends on the subject, as you can see from my shots. Nice regards!

Šmarna gora also has a blooming face, Franci's excellent shots are proof. Nice to see colorful flowers, that soothe like bird song. Don't resist visiting nature, hiking or running are right choices.

Franci, nice photos you took. I haven't seen tavžent flowers for a long time. Papagajka and hydrangeas are from some garden. Chestnut will bear well. What about linden? Lp

Apolonija, thanks for the comment, hydrangeas are indeed from my garden, tavžent flowers grow around Šmarna gora, chestnut is the only one not damaged by glaze ice, linden flowered quite poorly this year, more so the small-leaved linden which flowers a bit later, I collected it for tea too. Which flower is called papagajka?

Yes, great pics on this topic, but I can't help myself much with these pics if the flowers aren't named @francimedved. Since we've decided this season to make homemade jäger , we really need to collect herbs, the higher they are - probably the better the jäger, but there are problems, so experts please help; specifically for these plants, where to find them and some pic of them: - marshmallow, - rue, - motherwort. I know pics are on the net, but forum ones are nicer, clearer, so please help. About locations more precisely, I mean spots, not generally. LP!

You can see motherwort at this link: http://www.hribi.net/slika.asp?razmerekomentar=205997 It usually grows on forest edges where the scythe doesn't reach. There are quite a few spots below Šmarna gora, if you go to the hill, you can pick them along the way. I also make jäger, but instead of sugar I use good homemade honey.

Apolonija, thanks, learned something new again. This papagajka grows on top of Šmarna gora in their flower garden.

Otiv, you already know almost all the little flowers. Bravo! Orchids: 6, 7, 8, 9 – all finger orchids (note – not breasted ), just 6 is Fuchs's, the other three pictures show spotted. I especially like the one on 14. I think it is also finger orchid, albino. 10 red sticky catchfly 15 judging by the flowers it could be nettle-leaved bugle 26, 27, 28 – spreading bellflower 30 – flower of alpine sowthistle and giant sowthistle 42, 43, 44 – willow-leaved primrose 45 – rose hip, probably columnar-fruited 46, 47, 48 alpine honeywort 53, alpine savory and edelweiss 54 alpine savory 55, 57 – heart-leaved hepatica 60 mountain wormwood 61 felwort (common?) 71, 71 – capitate lousewort 85 Scopoli's foxtail 88, 89 hairy scabious, also as on 65 95 common hawkweed Lp

Good morning otiv! Let me also add a pot to your wonderful photos. But with photos I'm not up to your level. No. 15 – probably indeed nettle-leaved bugle. Only it has somewhat tall growth and quite branched stem – leaves are not seen well. No. 45 – probably indeed columnar-fruited rose hip, but this rose hip usually has a more intense pink-red color. The common rose hip has lighter – they are distinguished by flower color. And columnar-fruited ones are not found in valleys. Nos. 50 and 51 – it is dioecious spike. It is distinguished by leaves. On the stem there is only one ordinary leaflet. No. 56 – it is the common pasque flower – alpine has fewer flowers and usually flowers have a red tint. No. 61 You can determine exactly which these blue felworts are only by tasting. If they are not bitter, they are common. On Zelenica I find both. No. 75 – alpine rock-cress. No. 96 – mullein mountain silene. Very common mullein also in valleys on unfertilized slopes, even more in mid-montane. Has characteristic leaves. Usually overgrows large areas. Last time I haven't yet seen or found – edelweiss, meadow grobeljnik, hairy scabious, madronščica, fragrant wolfsbane, alpine honeywort, mountain wormwood has not yet flowered, Carniolan lily from your finds. Interesting is Scopoli's foxtail, which last year during botanizing Zelenica and surroundings I did not notice. It is similar to alpine rock-cress in flowers, but has longer stems – interesting. Interesting is the albino finger orchid, last year I found here albino of common fragrant orchid.
