Good morning! Which name do you like more, Ovit or Otiv? Your explanations for determining flower species are interesting and certainly instructive. This doesn't suit me at all; maybe construction is to blame , which accompanied me for many years. To taste a flower to recognize it, I haven't done that yet. But as a child I did a stupid thing, trying to tear off navadni volčin with my teeth because it didn't go with my hand. I wanted to tear off the twig for mom. I wouldn't want that taste in my mouth again. Of course not all my flowers grow on Zelenica; you know that and you have to turn a bit higher into the rocks. My path led through Suho ruševje upwards. I made many steps off the path too to encounter something nice; of course you have to take time and forget about the summit As you saw above, I got to the names of the flowers with a lot of help from Apolonija and since she probably reads this too, thanks again. Brane, you're going to look at golden flowers, up there on Zelenica's meadows. Your heart will beat happily, for you'll see flowers and steep mountains. Brane, thanks for everything written and best regards. Vito

otiv, sorry, typing error that happens to me often! Yes, to Suho ruševje, and also to Zelenjak and Palec I didn't manage to get last year during botanizing, nor to Srednji vrh. To Srednji vrh I've never been at all. That remains unexplored for me. Apolonija is also a great help to me and I'm extremely grateful to her for everything. On Saturday there will be some new flower again, at least I hope the weather doesn't spoil it too much.

jprim, only today I noticed the questions about ajbš and vinsko rutico. I don't know if it grows in the wild. I have vinsko rutico in the herb garden - I bought a seedling and then it self-sows. Ajbš has been in the herb garden forever and self-sows too.

And even without ajbš and vinsko rutico jeger is very good.

Dear Vito and Brane, kobulnice are also more of a Spanish village for me, but still I have a remark: "no. 96.-Kobulnica gorski silj. Very common kobulnica also in valleys on unfertilized slopes, even more in mid-montane. Has characteristic leaves...." It really has characteristic leaves, but more like parsley, serrated. But on the picture it's probably gorski jelenovec. Brane, what do you say? Regards

It's true, I looked at it a bit too quickly. I know well what gorski silj is like. Kobul has a more spread-out form than bezeg, for example. Jelenovec has a more semicircular one.

Brane, good evening! I feasted my eyes on your little flowers. Photos are always nicer, bravo. Some of my remarks: You already "identified" Vit's kobulnica as gorski silj, but I didn't agree. Also your one at 2, 3 you name it so and even emphasize characteristic leaves. I think those leaves belong to gorski jelenovec. Please, check 1X more. 4- karnijska zvončica 12- how do you know it's vardjanov košutnik, because it doesn't flower yet? Bratinski can also grow in the Julian Alps 26- leaves aren't from petoprstnik, but from plahtica 55 isn't aster, but suholetnica 58- bush is pritlikava jerebika Where tomorrow? Regards

Apolonija good morning! Indeed gorski silj and gorski jelenovec look so similar that I mix them up. But there is really a lot of it on Komarča and also on Spodnja Komna. Those are stands of tall stems called such growth sites. It seems to love moisture, because it was all white right at that first waterfall on Komarča. I know karnijska zvončica, because only this little bellflower has such grassy leaves - it flowers on Komarča exclusively only this one. There at plahtica I accidentally swapped pics. Asters were suspicious to me, because they were so low. How I know it's vardjanov - I'll research the exact flower when it flowers, because they differ by flower. According to literature vardjanov flowers two weeks earlier at least on nearby terrain. Bratinski is characteristic for Primorska and I'll go see it. Jerebika I've seen many times, because it's a common low shrublet. Italy is postponed for one week. Today we have other obligations. During the week after shift surely somewhere closer.

A couple more flowers from yesterday. I found even more others that are usual for this time - alpski kosmatinec, navadna podkvica, gorski srobot, spomladanski svišč, navadni alpski zvonček, platanolistna zlatica, gorska zlatica, alpsko veleso, alpski šetrajnik, koprivasta zvončica on the way back on the serpentines, here there's also lots of brstična konopnica and both kamnokrečev - klinolistni and okroglolistni. But I didn't see ognjica at the hut on Komna, which I always see here at this time - as if they had mowed it. About a week later I'll come to see ropontika here - I know where it flowers and of course košutnik.

Brane, good morning! This yellow one of yours reminds me most of sivega jajčarja.

Yesterday I was roaming around, making new acquaintances. Today, like all Sundays I'm at brother's for lunch.

I like going to Kamniško sedlo. Nice up there. Only alpski repnjak you didn't identify dear otiv, which you have under 43., 44. and 91.

Otiv, thanks for the enjoyment with the flowers. You look a bit tired. 55- viviparous fescue - Look at the "bulbils" under the flowers, they fall to the ground and a new plant is "born". 56 - looks like potbelly bellflower

Apolonija, thanks for the finale , flower names really are no joke. I didn't know I looked tired, unless you mean the work with photography...poor my knees. Best regards!
