Otiv, I often look at your flowers and must say you make very nice photos. Which camera do you have? I'm curious because the macro shots are so good and sharpness is excellent. Thanks in advance for the info.

@blues, thanks for the praise, which is definitely due to my long years with photography. For every shot I seek a view of the flower pleasant to the eye, no disturbing surroundings. I don't use a tripod myself, as it's too time-consuming and sometimes impossible. I use an Olympus compact camera with close-up option. I like shooting in sunlight, though the sun sometimes tricks me. Don't think every shot succeeds for me too, in digital it's minor, just make 3-4 shots of one flower from angles. I prefer at flower level or lower for background blur, good for pic. Don't mind kneeling before flower, later on PC see result, worth it, trust me. I learn from mistakes too. nasmehmežikanje

Otiv, thanks for reply, though I know it's not all camera but also photographer, still more precise info on which Olympus model welcome. Sure multiple shots only way for nice esp sharp pics, for me now older years important camera not too heavy, over 300g already much....Formerly Nikon my regular companion, heavy good kilo due lenses.. Yeah times change.!?

I didn't get lost, just a bit of mountain fasting. Anyway, today on a walk in Kranjska Gora to Lake Jasna I took this.
I have already found the cross-leaved marmot - first sign of the end of the summer season!1

Prealpine cinquefoil - potentila caulescens. I found it on the rocks by the road before Lake Jasna. Those rocks are protected by a net.18

I like that you find something beautiful to photograph everywhere. Conifer? If the picture showed the whole tree, cones.... it could be identified easier. Such needles, for example, metasequoia has. Lp

Brane, thanks. I wouldn't want to be too "smart". I really know some conifers, but which one this is, I can only guess. What about taxodium (Taxodium distichum) - swamp cypress? Does this tree turn brownish in autumn and is bare in winter? Does it have protruding roots? Well, it's not important. Just curious. Lp

The Brdo Estate was planted with rare trees by the already known botanist Karl Zois. The oldest tree in the park is considered the linden. Karl brought seedlings from everywhere. I already suggested to Brdo to equip the rare trees in the park with plaques, but it seems they don't have such an expert or I didn't speak to the right person. I'm not in the park often. I missed, for example, planting with perennials and annuals. Rare trees I don't really know.

The day holds so sourly,
only a look at the flower cheers you;
but, again a problem appeared,
that I don't know all flowers' names;
so, dear Apolonija, you're the solver,
look at them and please write to me...

Flowers adorn the mountain world for only a short time,
to see everything you'd need the qualities of a bird,
but luckily among us there are many flower lovers,
who gladly show the charms of the mountain summer.

May everyone have a nice time in the mountain world,
if not otherwise, then also on the web.

Apolonija, though I can't make verses, don't forget me too, as some of my flowers need you. See above over dleskovec.

Dleskovec, though I don't know all, still I can tell you: 1+2-yellow foxglove,3-hairy rockjasmine (not quite sure, Apolonija will confirm or deny), 5+6-red catchfly, 7+8-woolly-headed thistle, 14+15-Pannonian bellflower, 18-left goldenrod, right-common feathergrass. Otherwise nice flowers.

Good evening, oh, soon it will be good morning!

Glad we all know the plants so well already.
Dleskovec, you hardly need help, I agree with Brane.

Some of my remarks:

-Hard to decide from photos if yellow or large-flowered foxglove.
- Definitely evergreen rock cress not hop-like which is similar
-pic 4, 23 - think next to "yellow one" rock cress rockrose
-17- biennial fleabane
-48, 48 not narrow-helmeted but narrow-leaved hawkweed
-59, no, no primrose. Hard to say exactly from flower only.

Dear Zlatica, I also can't distinguish bellflowers well from photos. Think pot-bellied is right, other two could be Scheucher's bellflowers. Not scree ones, some endemic elsewhere in Slovenia, witasekina taller ....

B.C. nice shot!
And OTIV, thanks for good wishes!
