I'm sending you a couple of flowers from my father's garden.

Winter aconite has long been blooming. Bora and frost this week have 'wrinkled' it a bit.

Snowdrops have also peeked out of the ground

On New Year's Day this trumpet gentian was still under the snow

The common liverleaf is also back on dry land

In Gorenjska too, winter jasmine is blooming, snowdrops are sprouting, winter aconites are flowering, but now everything is under a snow blanket. I just wanted to note that the first picture shows wintersweet =Chimonanthus praecox, snowflakes also bloom early, but they are "a bit" different.

A bit more spring nasmeh

. Mom photographed Japanese quince today and from experience, when it blooms, there's no more winter (at least in Primorska).

Moisture is good for watering flowers, unfortunately not the best for photographing with the phone velik nasmeh

But still, some of today's spring flowers from forest paths under Mengeška hut (Gobavica)...

soon there will be full of them - bellflowers

Potepinka, you've found many heralds of spring. The hellebore is probably fragrant (Helleborus odorus), the forest one (Helleborus dumetorum) also has green flowers that are smaller.

Spring is not far at least by the months, although we didn't really have proper winter except around New Year. As the first real mountain flower we'll find our avrikelj already at the end of March on sunny rocks.

Last year I first spotted avrikelj in the rocks of Ajdna end of March. I couldn't get closer.

At the beginning of April it was flowering on Kamniški vrh.

Around 20 April I found it above Gradišče on the path to Kališče.

End of April then on the path to the Korošica pasture near Ojstrica.

And as my last seen avrikelj last year mid-July on Prehodavcih.

Interesting that in Dovžan gorge one crocus is already blooming. I first noticed it on Christmas and the flowers still persist, even a new one has developed. A few days ago another one bloomed.
