Apolonija, I missed your voice and it came and delighted me/us with your knowledge. You mean the cinquefoil under 49, right? Seems I correctly identified the white one, since no one protested. Yes, now I even found your old photo on hribi.net. Super spotted flower. And the speedwell is mountain! I didn't know it until now. Brane, could 10-12 be Austrian viper's grass, very similar to T. goat's beard or do you think it's really goat's beard? Can't find a good photo or description in literature what one is and what the other. Late good night everyone, as the day has already turned to 27.4., which is a holiday.

Good morning Zlatica! It won't be Austrian viper's grass, because it has only one flower per stem.

Franci, as always, beautiful photos and imaginatively chosen motifs. Of course grass blooms too, which causes spring allergies for many. Be nice...

And who knows what the tree growing on top of Smarna gora behind the church is called? It's quite similar to a hornbeam.

franci medved, of course I know it. It's an elm, not very common in our forests. As far as I know three types of elms grow here-mountain, field and pedunculate. This tree is highly threatened by Dutch elm disease. I know deciduous trees very well, because years ago I studied the forest near us. With string I marked the area-survey area and from tree to tree studied the species. I soon finished, because there was too much of everything, and demanding study too.

Good morning zlatica! No. 23 and 24 will be valerian or medicinal spurge - our well-known medicinal plant. Such leaves are characteristic of it. No. 18 - I think it's Carinthian edelweiss. Not Dinaric or Soča one. No. 22 - as far as I know in Slovenia only four types of gentians grow, yellow is the only one - I don't know this one yet. The other three are blue-colored - pyramidal, hairy and creeping. Yours is hairy.

Yes, Brane, thank you for the detailed assistance. I've wondered so many times what this valerian looks like in the wild and now I've finally come across it, as you say. The edelweiss picture is pretty poor, I know, good thing you could identify something. That gentian seemed so tall to me that I didn't know where to place it, as it didn't have a creeping habit, and I haven't seen the other two species in person yet either.
