Which flower is this?

Otiv, I see you caught a beautiful spike and Triglav marmot around Stanič hut. There are really a lot of flowers there. What is this yellow flower?
I was also high yesterday, but with help of four wheels velik nasmeh

and so on a walk on Mangart saddle looking for little flowers still blooming. Greetings

I have never seen such low and small edelweiss as this one on the saddle

starry rock-cress that has already flowered out

each mountain avens has a slightly different hairstyle

and here is also a small flower of mountain avens

even Velesa is already getting a shaggy hairstyle

cushion probably of Burser's rockjasmine, already after flowering

golden pasqueflower judging by the leaves which are divided more deeply than the narrow-helmeted one

Zlatica, I would have been right there with you. So much flowers together, yay!
But do you think that starry rockjasmine with its flowers can make such spikes? I'll leave you to solve the riddle, because you like doing that. nasmeh

You indulged with sretena. Those cobwebby heads fascinate me even more than flowers. Also with veles. Your sretena, you say, is mountain one. What about the creeping one that has stolons and spreads with them and has "curls" twisted at the start that look like pink cotton candy? You photographed it last year, at least it seems so to me. That's also on Mangart. Only blue milje is still missing nasmeh

Now here's yesterday's haul from the trip to Bovški Gamsovec and Križ. Sadly my new camera doesn't work as I expected. Sadly the possibility for a better lens only in 2018. From the vegetation it's already noticeable we're in mid-summer and many flowers are no longer to be found. Of course now's time for edelweiss, various rock jasmines, Triglav sandwort but didn't find it here either though I checked all reasonably accessible rocks on the path.

First time this year photographing alpine catchfly. It's beautiful.

Already at Luknja plenty of Reichenbach's helleborines - actually saw them on the whole path, also on Kriške podi.

Glavinec exclusively only the hairy one.

Only spindle mullein flowering, found three other species - sadly wilted. Plenty of the capitate one still.

Surprised by chestnut-brown clover patches on Bovški Gamsovec grasses.

This is blackish yarrow-Achillea atrata. Flower slightly different from mountain yarrow-Achillea clavennae.

Always dilemma if spring edelweiss or not, don't know differences of low edelweisses. Know Triglav one well.

Only on Kriške podi find Julian poppy. No yellow poppies seen.

Scree beauty undoubtedly alpine rhododendron.

Also extensive patches of stemless gentian.

Zois' bellflower not common, at Luknja already found, then here/there in rock fissures. Ventricose most common, interestingly no on scree.

Lots of golden gentianella, now also much abraščevolist gentian. Beautiful with almost orange color.

Above 2000 m I still find heart-leaved mračice.

Dimek or škržilica, perhaps some other yellow flower, that's the dilemma now.

Time for the Triglav rose or crackling cinquefoil.

Last flowers of the round-leaved mošnjak.

Definitely edelweiss. I can't distinguish species, I know only the good rocky one well, but I didn't see it here. It could be the Carinthian or that one.

There are plenty of hawkweeds - both the capitate and this one in rocky fissures.

From low white flowerlets I saw only this throughout. I think this is črvinka.

Last but not least the saxifrages - the evergreen one is very common.

Flowers of clustered saxifrage - recognizable by characteristic leaf rosettes. There is a lot of it.

Gently here and there hides the starry saxifrage. This one I saw for the first time this year.

There is a lot of it - I think it's the homulični one.

I pass on these interesting leaf rosettes of the clustered saxifrage. Of course there is also a lot of the encrusted one. The furrowed ones (like mossy hard cushions - like blisters then stems start growing out) are not yet flowering.

Apolonija, first a few words to you. Still guessing about rock jasmine, true with sretena I had my fun, but the creeping one only those who spot it climb a bit up the Slovenian climbing velik nasmeh

and I did that last year of course 2x. So I settled for the mountain one. Thanks for alpine sow-thistle, true it slipped my mind. Searched for gentians, zmeden

in vain. Don't know exactly where it is... velik nasmeh

Brane, the pictures are nice. Don't be so self-critical. My new camera wouldn't help me either, more some photo course if otiv organized it.
It's hard to identify those little svišči just by flowers, right? 22 and 28 you forgot to name (viviparous fescue, sedge?) nasmeh

Brane, camera surely OK, just flower photography requires more effort and especially steady hand. For more depth of field good to use wider aperture, which your camera surely allows. Admit I often just press shutter without delving deeper into settings...then at home I get mad. velik nasmeh

For Triglav sandwort I looked too but in vain. Would probably need to detour to Rjavina, but no longer enthusiastic about "ventilating" velik nasmeh

And how do you recognize Triglav svišč...by proximity to Triglav. velik nasmeh

Not known to me and please help here to add under my svišč above.

Apolonija for successful pic need often on knees and as I know you have problems with them, so that'll be harder to do. velik nasmeh

Brane, nice haul of flowers you found. You went high too, no doubt. Nice rhododendron. Last year met it on Mangart. Sandwort escaping you this year sadly, right? Anyway you have condition. velik nasmeh

Miri, where did you find that nice blue bunch of gentians? cool

Can you hint a bit? Right on Mangart or saddle? Or even elsewhere? lp nasmeh

otiv, want to add Triglav svišč, go ahead. Or wait for Brane anyway. Proximity to Triglav not that important, more leaf rosettes velik nasmeh

Since Otiv still keeps his flower pouch, I'm sending you some more - not anything special- but flowering impressions from today's path to Planjava next to Kamniški vrh. Impression of whole path - meadows up to summit white with common sneezewort. Unique, first time experienced, since usually don't go up in August. velik nasmeh
