Otiv, did it rain overnight at Stanic's that the flowers are full of nice droplets? zmeden

Yes, that night it rained in Krma and the surrounding mountains and there was also a shower in Ljubljana. I am a bit responsible myself for the droplets, as I started the hike in the dark and they hadn't dried yet. nasmeh

Zlatica, I admire how much you manage. On top of that, you look for flowers too.
Instead of question marks it's Hayek's gentiannasmeh

And also: Happy birthday!

Apolonija, so it really is Hayek's gentian? You are incredible!mežikanje I kind of suspected it, because I think Otiv found a similar one recently. Anyway, thanks for the wishes, you're right that last year with the bad accident eek on that day I was reborn - as they say. Greetingsnasmeh

Is this alpine aster? Thanks for the answer.

Deniss, by flower shape it looks like that already, but the color is quite special. Haven't seen such strong purple asters in nature yet. Where did you find this flower? Anyway someone else might say more on the topic, maybe Apolonija:velik nasmeh
Just today I looked at your two ragwort photos from 31.8.2015 (beautiful as they are fully blooming), which you named capitulate ragworts. I think it's Turkish ragwort. Last time I found it at Kamniško sedlo, and I spent quite some time checking if Turkish or capitulate, as they are most similar. Where did you find the ragwort? That's very important for determination. lpnasmeh

Tadej, you photographed only one flower. Does that mean only one flower on one stem? If so, then certainly alpine aster (Aster alpinus), which can be various colors, from pure white, lighter, darker, pink, grayish, to violet. Usually several grow together making nice cushions. But there is also mountain aster (Aster amellus), with similar flowers but more on branched stem and taller.

Zlatica, bravo, you haven't overfed on ragwort yet.nasmeh
How do you find the date from almost a year back (31.8.2015) so quickly?

Apolonija, unfortunately I haven't discovered a quick way for looking back yet, I think there isn't one, I know only the variant of 3 at a time. Maybe we should ask Tadej-admin to invent something on the topic. In this specific case you can click on Deniss and check his pics below, that's the fastest. nasmeh

Forum search (tab) supports date limits. For jumping to intermediate pages of long threads like this, just add &stran=200 to the end of the URL (browser address bar) and instead of 200 the desired page.

Thanks, Zlatica, thanks lynx. I usually jumped by 3 too. The one with the name was immediate. I immediately saw 2 ragwort pics, but not the date and their names. Maybe I don't know how to find? They look hairless as you say.

lynx, what if you don't know on which page desired shots are, but only date?

@Zlatica,@Apolonija

I found the Nebina on the slope of Stolovega predvrha less than half an hour to Prešernova. It immediately caught my eye among a multitude of Zvončic (probably Trebušastih). The very low growth confused me in identification. Definitely there was only one flower and only that specimen...The color on the photo is a bit darker than the actual, but not much. The Preobjeda I found from Kamniško sedlo towards Planjava, approximately half way to the top. For species determination "Uncle Google" helped and quite likely that he got it wrong. nasmeh Thanks for the answers.

Thanks Deniss for the explanation, the Nebina of wonderful colors revealed itself right to you, and the location for turško preobjedo is also right. I wish you many more such beauties on your mountain hikes; and don't forget to share them with usnasmeh
lynx and Tadej, thanks to you for the technical tips, I tried them and they really work. This will be a great help to me, since I often review things retrospectively. velik nasmeh

Deniss, above I accidentally attributed the Nebina to Tadej. It's beautiful, even though just one.

Tadej, lynx, thanks to you for the help. Now I won't have to spend so much time going back two years like with the old method- 3-3-3..., ha-ha.
