Zlatica, anyway it's not really easy (at least for me) to figure out if it's a thistle or bull thistle and then which species. A dry plant however presents an even tougher challenge. By height and growth of the plant, leaf shape and coverage with them....it could be common thistle, nasmeh

Franci, you really caught stonecrops, Zlatica is right. The green one is probably sharp stonecrop (Sedum acre), the nicely pink-tinted one is Caucasian stonecrop (Sedum spurium), which delights us in gardens. It escaped to Šmarna gora. nasmeh

New year, new flowers. First the spring ones that already adorn many forest paths. These are from upper Posočje (Virje waterfall and Lemovje).

This morning a tiny flower on the common holly (Ilex aquifolium) cheered me up... I bought it before the holidays, so it was a pleasant January surprise. Obviously it likes it here in "captivity".
The plant is dioecious, this is a female flower with four aborted stamens and distinct pistil visible.
