Photo no. 11 shows the pot-bellied bellflower and its leaves as described in Hoppe's guide. So photos no. 1 and 2 are pot-bellied bellflower and also from 10 to 19 are all pot-bellied.

Interesting that we somehow don't find scree ones.

The last yellow one is common wall lettuce - belongs to chicory family - Mycelis muralis.

Let's play a bit with bellflowers found in Slovenia. They have different habitats, some are true endemics-found only in certain areas. Some love shade, moisture. Others are fine with a rock crevice.

Some are very rare-for example spike, Justin's grows only around Škocjan Caves-I've seen it, no photo.Repuš's grows on karst meadows-I've seen it, no photo.Round-leaved we find e.g. on Donačka gora-I don't know if I've seen it.

Haven't seen alpine, Beck's, monstrous, short-haired yet.

Don't know monstrous bellflowers.

Know broad-leaved, no photo-loves shade.

Have seen Marchesetti's and Witasek's-no photo.

Probably forgot to list some.

Will try to upload the others from my albums.
First the tufted bellflower, the only white bellflower.1
Then the well-known Zois bellflower.2
Bearded bellflower - not the most common.3
Spreading bellflower is the bellflower of our meadows - lately not very common.4
In valleys we will often find nettle-leaved bellflower.5
Pot-bellied bellflowers.6
On our dry valley meadows we sometimes encounter the clustered bellflower.7
We also encounter the peach-leaved bellflower in the valley.8
Woolly-leaved or Carniolan bellflower.9
Hairy bellflower.10
Spiked bellflower.11
Scheuchzer's bellflower from a couple of days ago.12
Bolognese bellflower.13
We encounter this bellflower on sea vacation - I think it's pyramidal.14
Rampion-leaved bellflower has even settled in our flower beds.15

Looking back a bit.

kati1909 from 07.07.2017

-in photo no.2 it's common hogweed-Heracleum sphondylium-plenty of it in valley forests, likes shade and moisture.

-in photo no. 4 it's hellebore and willowherb.

Brane; thanks for your reply. But the hogweed was photographed on the descent from Durc (1400 m) and in a very sunny spot. Just for clarification; best regards!mežikanje

I've eaten young hogweed many times with
regular salad, but hogweed needs to be
complemented with boiled potatoes, same as
forest garlic-mustard, so-called forest salad,
recommend blanching lightly first!

I reviewed hogweeds two years ago and found out that four hogweeds grow in Slovenia.

Generally widespread and most common is of course the common hogweed, which appears in eight subspecies. I noted only their Latin names and didn't research further. Our hogweed therefore has this Latin name-Heracleum sphondylium. We can hardly miss it.

Furthermore the giant hogweed from the Caucasus has established itself in our nature. It was supposedly brought to the Botanical Garden in Ljubljana from where it escaped into nature. Its name-Heracleum mantegazzianum. It reaches up to two meters in height. It is very dangerous. Its sap causes burns on the skin. Very hard to eradicate it.

The third hogweed is the ornament of our mountains-rose-red or Austrian hogweed. Authors of the botanical trail Črne prsti even call it Bohinj hogweed-Heracleum austriacum ssp.siifolium.

Its cousin is Pollini's hogweed-Heracleum sphondylium ssp. pollianom. This hogweed doesn't grow in lowlands -on the botanical trail Črne prsti it is marked. Its leaves are larger than the common one and greener. The stem is also larger.

Brane, I like that you developed the debate on hogweeds.
The common hogweed (Heracleum sphondylium) has more subspecies, as you say. One is the one you mention as Pollini's hogweed (Heracleum sphondylium ssp. pollianom). Easier to remember the name - scree hogweed. The other subspecies is mountain hogweed
(Heracleum sphondylium subsp. montanum). By mistake (lapsus) I, Kati, wrote alpine instead of mountain. This subspecies of the common has fewer leaf segments.

Yesterday I visited my favorite mountain Mangart, as it should offer rich flora at this time, which I can never get enough of. Although the forecast promised a nice day, the weather played its own game, mainly strong wind prevailed and fogs were racing as if on purpose and these two of course significantly affected the difficulty of photographing, since the little flowers could almost not be captured at rest.
But I noticed that this year compared to the same period of the previous two years there are significantly fewer species of flowers, and even these were not in such rich bloom as in 2015. Yes, the weather really affects our little flowers a lot... And now to the photos.....lp nasmeh

Yes, Otiv, via Slovenian ridge, via Italian valley, as always. But it has become hard for me already, especially this year when I'm quite out of condition, up still goes, down hardervelik nasmeh, but adrenaline does its thing and so I managed. Maybe something interesting, that this year I found the most neboglasnice so far, although there are much fewer flowers. nasmeh
