In early June a few years ago I ran into a group of botanical enthusiasts on the way to Vrtaška Sleme. Since my fitness was "in bad shape" then, I couldn't overtake them fast enough not to hear along the path about "green-crested whiteheads and lipped multiflowers" When I finally "escaped" them, I photographed interesting flowers up close several times along the path and later noticed that they had stopped at all of them too, discussed and photographed themselves. As a pure layman my "botanical self-confidence" grew a bit then, but I still don't know most of these beautiful beauties...

Zlatica, almost all those flowers I "recognized" over the years on this forum's pages, only this one remained - and it's surely been somewhere already, I just didn't notice..

Aha, that's alpine savory or čober. When the sun shines on it or dew drops sparkle on it, it's really hard to overlook.

Very nice series of flowers and just a few unknowns in between. Of course the first and last is the beautiful mountain avens. Its time is now. No. 4 is of course gentian, but they are not easy to identify so I'd rather stay just with that. No. 5 something white peeks from under the telephium leaves, leaves of the white flower itself not visible, I guess some whitlow-grass, certainly a crucifer. 6. probably milkvetch, leaves again I can't distinguish. 10. Horticultural - non-botanical rock-cress. That's it for today. Regards

kati1909 on picture no. 5 you have three-leaved whitlowgrass, which is quite common at this time. Loves shade and moisture. On picture no. 4 it's French gentian. Bitter gentian (it's blue) has smaller flowers and no white center. At this time we also find tassel gentian, which is red.

jcerni, first, thanks for the "presentation of Udin boršt", as it's the first time I hear about it and surely some other forum visitors too. Also interesting plants grow there, especially rusty foxglove, which you rarely meet elsewhere. Must be slightly cooler terrain there, if spring anemone is still blooming now.

On Saturday my friend and I were at Osredek plain and Kamniški vrh. I photographed a bunch of flowers, but for some of them I don't know the names.
