Flora1, Irina, thanks! As an amateur, I've been dealing with mountain and valley flora for the third year, also learning about trees. Before that, I didn't know more than most of us, because most know only bellflower, black hellebore, edelweiss and gentian, which is just a home name for Koch's and Clusius' primroses, which even I don't distinguish well between. Not to offend anyone, I know there are many experts among us. L.P.

Easy for you, otiv and tinky, since you're retired and have the whole week free; I wait for the weekend, and even then it's raining. Haven't been to Ratitovec for an eternity; generally went to that area years ago more for skiing on Stari vrh and Sorisko. Nice greeting!

Your photos, Vito, are much more than photos of mountain flowers; pure aesthetic pleasure - real feast for the eyes

Brane is right, we're retired, but proper time is also lacking and with euros it's harder too. Ratitovec is the mountain where as a child I gathered first mountaineering experiences in the mountain world, so I gladly climb its peaks, which are always full of flowers. @Scabiosa thanks for encouraging words, it's one of the things I do with great love for the mountains and their gifts. Good luck to both and nice greeting!

Nice @tinky. While wandering around Paris, I probably saw even bigger ones, but unfortunately no pic. It was unforgettable. Greetings

While wandering through Eastern Turkey (between the Euphrates and Tigris - northern Mesopotamia), I saw oleanders in their natural habitat. The photo is of poorer quality because I'm not the best at these things, and it was taken from a bus. Otherwise, I've also seen oleanders in their natural habitat in the Atlas Mountains (Morocco).

Brane hello! Maybe you know the flower below that I photographed yesterday on Pusti Rovt. Have you seen any narcissus on Čavn? Best regards

otiv, you also had a little rain like us, just not then when I was photographing flowers around Kuclja. Unfortunately we didn't continue because of the threatening storm. Right around the top of Kuclja there are plenty of narcissus. Now they are in full bloom. Your flower is early marsh orchid, I too under no. 10. Best regards.

Thanks for the reply. My droplets are from morning dew, which was very heavy yesterday and the wind was blowing quite strongly too. I knew narcissus grow in those areas because I've seen them myself. Best regards

nacka, under no. 3 you have spotted-flowered orchid. In the Bohinj area grows Bohinj iris, where did you find that under no. 4?

As said - all except no. 5 and 6, on the Karst edge. The others I know of course, I just don't know what is under no. 6. That one is from Western Taurus (Turkey).

Nacka's third flower is scarlet-red cuckooflower.

How is it a cuckooflower, if it doesn't sing cuckoo. It's just a pretty flower, that looks at you cuckoo. Nice greetings to all!
