Tinky - I know. I know enough about flowers. Since we also grow oleanders at home, as well as various types of rhododendrons, I thought it might be interesting for someone else to see how oleanders look in their native environment. Like e.g. this yellow yarrow. We have it in our gardens, in Eastern Turkey (this one photographed a few meters from the Armenian border) yellow yarrow grows in the wild. Maybe I'm wrong, but yellow yarrow also grows wild here, though I haven't seen it.

Brane flowers in pictures Vito a bit of it in rhymes. Both rejoice, sharing joy with others. Hope it's so, may little flowers bloom long.

Yes, even if weather spoils it for us we can find something colorful not far from home, be it in forest, meadows, slopes, along streams, in short everywhere.

Three more mysterious larger "flowers" from yesterday, above Jakob (Javorov vrh). I was really looking around for flowers, but except a couple of orlice there wasn't much to see. But greenery, green, green, due to the mists maybe even a bit more intense

Yesterday afternoon on a walk through the Mlaka near Vipava I found this flower. Pictures aren't exactly the best, as I took them with my mobile.

Lidija, I usually explore the starting points of tours or hikes in advance. Well-kept meadows, pastures, natural living hedges, slopes along paths hide many little flowers, which are of course more typical for lowlands, but appear higher up too. This time the meadow under the former inn soon after parking at the elderly home was extremely interesting. From there I showed only the two bluebells. But there was lots more—for example both yellow rattles, goat's beard, common dentaria, tufted spignel, later lots of globeflowers here. The forest then offers plenty blooming wild garlic, keeled garlic, alpine leek, Solomon's seals, herb Paris, orchids, various spurges, our green-winged orchid—egg-leaved bee orchid and more could be found. Before the little church at the top of Jakob the keeled garlic will bloom any moment—everything pink. At the top by Iskrska hut right now really nothing else but common restharrow, but from it that clearing continuing the hut all in white. I hope the weather improves so we go higher! Best regards!

tinky, I don't know the tulip tree. You also found brown toothwort under no. four—it's a parasite. You also found clustered bellflower under no. six and even the first globeflower under no. seven.

The tulip tree is quite a tall tree with beautiful flowers, so I went today from this side to Šmarna gora to see if it's blooming already.

@tinky ... add flower names to your photos, it'll be easier for us others when we look at the photo. LP!

@tinky Yes, I know, that's why velkavrh helps us, I mean, later ... when he tells you about the flower, that you label it, because that's how we learn as we go, if pics are labeled. LP! PS Flower gallery, if flowers aren't named, is just for oh and ah, how nice,... I'm interested what that nice thing is, with name.

Now I'm heading to Pokljuka. I hope the snow hasn't hidden all the flowers from me, if not I'll go winter hiking at least to Lipance pasture. L.P.
