Tinky - I know. I know enough about flowers.

Since we also grow oleanders at home, as well as various types of rhododendrons, I thought it might be interesting for someone else to see how oleanders look in their native environment.

Like e.g. this yellow yarrow. We have it in our gardens, in Eastern Turkey (this one photographed a few meters from the Armenian border) yellow yarrow grows in the wild. Maybe I'm wrong, but yellow yarrow also grows wild here, though I haven't seen it.

So far I haven't seen a yellow edelweiss in the wild.1

The weather, or rather snow, covered the mountain flowers for me, so I went hiking around Brdo castle and as every year pass on what I find blooming here.
Already right at the beginning of the path along the fence if they didn't mow it because of yesterday's mayor's run around Brda, a lot of field burnet.1
Besides, the ogersko burnet usually also grows, but it is rarer. We distinguish them well by the leaves. The field one has branched leaves.2
There is a lot of biennial mullein.3
The common cowslip is also appearing. Last time on Jošt I found the grey one.4
Here is also meadow goat's beard.5
Then we come along the fence into the forest and spot Damason's pale helmet flower.6
Long-leaved helmet flower.7
Two-leaved helleborine.8
And surprise-brown bird's-nest orchid-the only twins.9
Along the fence also grows foamy touch-me-not.10
And heart strength.11
Salomon's many-flowered seal.12
This should be Fuchs' finger orchid-it has dotted leaves. In the forest I saw another species, but the photo is too poor. There is also a huge amount of oval-leaved fly orchid-it is green-flowered.13
There are several species of milkweed-I don't distinguish them best yet-this should be the warty one.14
Here is also honeywort.15
Along the path also wonderful climber -cotoneaster.16
Along the fence also wood hawkweed. There are many of those yellow flowers -mulleins, cowslips, dandelion, meadow goat's beard and more could be found.17
On the way home, past a wonderful natural stand of water irises. It grows along the stream that flows out from the back pond on the Brdo estate and then runs to Kokrici into the Rupovščica river.18
We also grow this beautiful yellow iris in the garden.19
On the slope in the village Ilovka on the way home, materina dušica is already blooming - nowhere else in the area do I see it yet.20
Here is also the čopasta grebenuša.21
Ranjak.22
I find a huge stand of golobja krvomočnica.23
And a little closer.24
In between grows resasti škrobotec.25
Krvavordeča krvomočnica is also here.26
In the forest also wolfberry - poisonous.27
This is the ovate-leaved fly agaric. It grows in the forest - likes a moist habitat.28
This is the common coral fungus.29
Common hen-of-the-woods.30

Yes, even if weather spoils it for us we can find something colorful not far from home, be it in forest, meadows, slopes, along streams, in short everywhere.

Today in the morning on Jakob above Preddvor. It's blooming right now.
On the meadow at the starting point already clustered bellflower.1
Also the spreading bellflower.2
In the forest, large-flowered hawkweeds are already blooming here and there.3
Touch-me-not balsam.4
I also find the only lady's slipper. This is the fox's finger orchid.5
The forest is all yellow. This yellow woodland hawkweed is the common stinking hawkweed.6
This is the woodland alp lily.7
On top of Jakob all white common barrenwort.8
In the grass near the hut I find this tiny red pearl. This is the little terror. Unfortunately the photo is poor. But I found it for the first time.9

Three more mysterious larger "flowers" jezik from yesterday, above Jakob (Javorov vrh). I was really looking around for flowers, but except a couple of orlice there wasn't much to see. But greenery, green, green, due to the mists maybe even a bit more intense

Lidija, I usually explore the starting points of tours or hikes in advance. Well-kept meadows, pastures, natural living hedges, slopes along paths hide many little flowers, which are of course more typical for lowlands, but appear higher up too. This time the meadow under the former inn soon after parking at the elderly home was extremely interesting. From there I showed only the two bluebells. But there was lots more—for example both yellow rattles, goat's beard, common dentaria, tufted spignel, later lots of globeflowers here. The forest then offers plenty blooming wild garlic, keeled garlic, alpine leek, Solomon's seals, herb Paris, orchids, various spurges, our green-winged orchid—egg-leaved bee orchid and more could be found. Before the little church at the top of Jakob the keeled garlic will bloom any moment—everything pink. At the top by Iskrska hut right now really nothing else but common restharrow, but from it that clearing continuing the hut all in white.

I hope the weather improves so we go higher! Best regards!

tinky, I don't know the tulip tree. You also found brown toothwort under no. four—it's a parasite. You also found clustered bellflower under no. six and even the first globeflower under no. seven.

The tulip tree is quite a tall tree with beautiful flowers, so I went today from this side to Šmarna gora to see if it's blooming already.

Yes, I know, that's why velkavrh helps us, I mean, later ... when he tells you about the flower, that you label it, because that's how we learn as we go, if pics are labeled.
LP!

PS Flower gallery, if flowers aren't named, is just for oh and ah, how nice,... I'm interested what that nice thing is, with name.

Today from Ambrož a little around Pokovše via which we reach the Osredek pasture.
On the edge of the pasture at Ambrož and along the forest road there is a large stand of Lobel's green hellebore.1
Along the path also hairy goldenrod.2
I also find a stand of common cowbane.3
On some clearing even before descending towards Pokovš we already find lady's mantle - a medicinal plant.4
The budded hemp agrimony is still blooming.5
On this clearing I find bitter hawkweed.6
Here I find only two species of lady's slipper - this is the common one.7
For this yellow one I'm already in a dilemma whether it isn't perhaps finger elder.8
Here I also find puščičasti repnjak.9
In the forest I find a stand of rjave gnezdovnice.10
In the forest navadni češmin is also blooming.11
Woolly or black lučnik - black has flowers hairy on the outer side - unfortunately I didn't check.12
By mistake in the forest I turned to Klemenčevo and then went along the scree by the protective fence of the pasture above Klemenčevo to the top of the pasture. Immediately I spotted all white navadnega kokoševca.13
There is also plenty of gozdnega šebenika.14
There is also plenty of navadne šparnice.15
Dišeči volčin is characteristic for this area.16
Navadna podkvica.17
I think I found navadno peščenko.18
Of course, clusijevega svišča cannot be missing.19
Surprise - albino srčastolistne mračice.20
They were really white.21
Beside it a huge stand of srčastolistne mračice.22
They were beautiful.23
Sivi jajčar.24
Unfortunately none of the photos of mesnordečega dimka succeeded. I will have to go to Kamniški vrh again. There is plenty of it.25
Rdeča relika.26
I will still determine which kobulnica it is. Most probably gorski silj - quite common. The determination is not necessarily correct, because kobulnice are at least at first glance quite similar.27
As the last one this time timijanov jetičnik.28

Today to sunny Pokljuka to Lipanco pasture from Medvedova konta aka Garage and even to the foot of Lipanski vrh. Couldn't quite reach the top due to too much snow - winter won't say goodbye.
I stop at the Kranjska dolina pasture and immediately find the only finger-like elder orchid. I got a really nice shot.1
There is already a huge amount of spring gentians here, on the Lipanci pasture it is all blue.2
I find a nice stand of variable fragrant orchid.3
Even the flowers of sončec or popon will open any moment.4
The pyramidal skrečnik always attracts me.5
There is also the three-leaved špajka here.6
The high jeglič begins for us right as we leave the asphalt at Studenec. There is plenty of it afterwards on both planinas.7
When we reach Medvedova konte pe, the forest flowers begin. Črni teloh is nowhere to be found.8
There is a huge amount of nine-leaved konopnica in the forest.9
Along the path we encounter common volčin.10
From the rocks by the path, klinolistni kamnokreč greets us from the shade; it is not yet in a hurry to bloom.11
Common jetrnik in the valley forests now has only leaves left.12
On the marsh under the hut, common kalužnica is flowering.13
Common pogačica also loves moisture.14
Here I also find white žafran-nunka.15
There is still plenty of podlesna veternica.16
Here are already the first marjetičnolistne nebine.17
Gorska zlatica.18
Alpski kosmatinec.19
I find the only ozkolistni pljučnik, which is not very common. Besides common pljučnik, which we also call velikonočnica locally, we also have štajerski pljučnik, which has speckled leaves; the flowers are blue.20
Early mošnjak.21
Right by Blejska koča on planina Lipanca there is a vast growth of the smallest alpine zvonček.22
They also grow right next to each other: the smallest alpine zvonček, which is white and looks smaller, and the common alpine zvonček, which is larger, blue-tinted and more frequent.23
Already on the path to Gorjuše, narrow-leaved helmet flower.24
Common speedwell.25
Common dog's-tooth violet.26
Flower of broad-leaved plantain.27
Flower of narrow-leaved plantain - medicinal plant.28
Found the first gentian this year - mountain gentian - the most beautiful for me.29
Guest - bumblebee.30
Proof that it is the true gentian.31
