I'm editing photos of summer paths and the yellow gentian from the path to Bogatin especially sticks in my memory. Until now I haven't seen it. In Gracija valley there were really a lot of them this July. It's wonderful, really!

malenka forwarded us wonderful photos of hoary common pink. I always see it when I go to Begunjščica from Draga valley via Roblek. On Begunjščica wild pink blooms abundantly - common in our midlands and highlands. Similar to common pink are also blood-red, deltate, Croatian and rough pinks, but we won't find them in Gorenjska. When I wandered with retirees through Goričko and Gorjanci I saw them. Probably wouldn't distinguish them. I don't have photos. On Karst blooms Triestine, which we can't mix with others because it has only one flower per stem. In Austria, Italy and Romania I saw some others that we don't have here. Beautiful are the white ones I saw in Croatia on Velebit - that's rock pink - Dianthus petraeus subsp. petraeus. In Austria we find glacial pink.

Both "zvončica" and "malenka" with the explanation about "primroses" made a real breeze in my head and now "my namings" need to be corrected. And that's right too; the more people, the more they know, I also like order in my "flower maps". Thanks to both, but still.... "is it this...?"

Kati1909, primroses are hard to determine, from a photo almost impossible, you need to look at measurements of parts in millimeters. At first glance I'd say all your large-flowered ... we don't see whole plants, don't know how tall they are, flower diameter, stamen length ... I don't know where you picked up the name heart-leaved, first time hearing it exists, it's not in my literature.
