@kati1909, most likely wood crane's-bill, but flowers alone aren't enough to identify the flower. Best nasmeh

kati1909, after checking available pictures it seems to me that wood crane's-bill has slightly different flowers. But identifying crane's-bills is tricky. Here we have as many as 45 species, plus hybrids in between and several have subspecies too.

When you're not sure, look for the answer. Yesterday on the slope of Prisojnik I photographed sviščevec and kamnokreč and remained in a dilemma about the exact naming. I'm attaching photos and asking for an answer. Thanks in advance.

Yesterday's autumn flowers from the trip to Sv. Lovrenc near Postojna. The forest is full of cyclamen too. On these dry steep pastures plenty of other flowers too - among them hermelika, kosmuljek, several gentians. I was here three years ago, in spring, then daffodils also bloom here.
In the forest there are plenty of knee-shaped louseworts.1
And also silky bistort.2
Here we also find broad-leaved helleborine.3
Common goldenrod.4
Sticky sage.5
Soft sedge.6
On the descent on these dry pastures we find this low hawkweed. Stems are only 5 cm high.7
According to the Small Flora of Slovenia, 27 hawkweeds and some subspecies besides are supposed to grow in Slovenia.8
Yellowish garlic.9
Mountain speedwell.10
Stemless thistle.11
12
Sončece - exact identification is always delicate.13
Full of thorny herbs.14
Amethyst gentian.15
Unfortunately poorly visible - I think these flowers are from the genus usnatic - common sundew.16
Thick-leaved thistle.17

mirank, you nicely captured the heralds of autumn. Except for the pot-bellied bellflower on the second pic, all other mountain flowers announce autumn. You nicely captured sviščevci - first and fourth pic. There are many sviščevci and I can't distinguish them. Only the bristly sviščevec is blue and can't be mixed with others which are somehow pink to strong violet. According to Mala flora Slovenije we have 10 species with many subspecies, if I understood correctly. Bristly sviščevec usually grows lower. The most common is cup-shaped sviščevec - now the autumn cup-shaped should be blooming. The delicate one we'd find on Mangart, in West Slovenia Austrian is common, hairy in Upper Sava valley, rough around Velenje, Liburnian on Snežnik. I can't distinguish them. I know well only the bristly one.

Unfortunately I have to admit I still don't have a good enough camera and pics are not quality. Some don't turn out at all. I don't consider myself some great expert on mountain flowers. But I have been photographing mountain flowers for about 15 years at home and abroad. I'm more at home with rock-jasmines, bellflowers, hawkweeds, dryads and more. Little malenka taught me a lot.

Zvončica, for Froelich's gentian you don't need to go really high, since we didn't exceed 2200m. These photos were taken somewhere between 1800-2000m in Carnia.

Well I went to Ledine and to Ledinski vrh to admire the gentianellas and Froelich's gentian. On the scree or talus below the entry to Umik Žrela every year at this time blooms Einsle's gentianella. The site is permanent. In this area it grows only there. This gentianella is small in growth-flowers are blue. Here we also run into the first flowers of bristly gentianella, which we see also on top of Ledinski vrh. The cup gentianellas appear only at 1300m altitude and we follow them to the top of Ledinski vrh. Probably it's the true cup gentianellas-autumn variant-G.A.subsp. anisodonta. They are low-flowers arranged along the stem which is branched. Similar should be only the German ones. Exactly at 2000m the first flowers of Froelich's gentian appear and we follow them along the path to the saddle-higher there are none. This site is permanent-but not very large. I go to see them every year.
