@otiv, legend, but it's still nice, what must the special, special one be like, but I don't mean that one from Kočevje forests, little joke There are loads of them from Slivnica, Vremščica, to Slavnik!! Peonies I saw most on the north side of Vremščica!

Hello! I was happily surprised to find out that something is "happening" here again. I see you know how to versify well. You reminded me of all the little flowers from Slavnik, Karst edge...soon May... You're right, the picture shows common peony/Paeonia officinalis and mountain pasqueflower/Pulsatilla montana. Also garden peony and pasqueflower. Regards

Good morning! Apolonija, what I photographed on Slavnik, seems similar to black mulberry to me?

Mulberry surely not. Maybe a type of "repuš". Will have to call Velkavrh for help.

On Slavnik and in the surroundings, many interesting flowers grow. Here also grows the strawberry pear, which cico most likely photographed. But it is still not in bloom.

Yes, the flower was still not in bloom, thanks for the explanation! I wouldn't expect so much beautiful and interesting flora in such dry stony environment! Nice greetings!

Cico, you photographed the common golden root, still not in bloom. The plant of the Greek gods is a symbol of resurrection; in the Mediterranean they plant it on tombs ... Transcribed from the information board

Cico, Anka beat me to it because I just now got to the computer. Golden root is really a beautiful, mighty plant. I've admired them many times, also the young ash on the picture. You've encountered it on Kras already, right?

Thanks that you are so kind, one just learns throughout life, look also at this picture from Grmada above Brestovica, what wonderful beetle fattens itself on flower pollen! What is the name of this flower or shrub?

This golden mimic enjoys the small ash - Fraxinus ornus. At least I think it's this one. Lp

Anka, you are right! I hesitated between common golden root and houseleek. They have really similar leaves, only at the root they are much higher, and you never know how much the photo is actually zoomed in. I saw the root only from afar when I went to Kucelj last year. Various houseleeks I grow myself as rock garden decoration. For Cico's shrub, judging by the leaves and flower, I would say it is ash. We have great ash, which grows to a mighty tree; the smaller is small ash. We also have sharp-leaved one.

Hats off to you, it shows that we are mountaineers universally comradely positively oriented, otherwise I'll find something else and we'll "hear" again, nice day

Cico, really beautiful is your night mothling. I think you photographed large night peacock-moth. Some more karst beauties and prematurely awakened spring ones. Lp
